idea for returning characters/feature for mk9.

i was playing rumble roses and fable a couple days ago and i thought this might be interesting to maybe see in mk9. hope you enjoy and feel free to comment your opinion on this matter.

alter ego - (note this feature was in rumble roses for ps2) here's an example. - say you play scorpion and you decide not to do a fatality on your friend/or computer the next time you fight you may grow wings or etc. it may alter the look of your fighter and may grant you new moves to which ever character you are playing. sorta like a reward systom for being good, evil, or neutral. it would change the story for that character depending on the choices and actions you perform in the fights.

decison making/reaction to the people around you. - (note this feature was in fable lost chapters) here's an example - say there's a konquest mode in mk9 and you decide to keep the cash for yourself your reactions to the people would be different. this could cause different poses and taughts for who ever you may be using in konquest. then when you fight in a vs match online or offline the character would have the adjustments added to sub -zero or whoever your playing as.

here are a few examples for various taughts for each choice.
dark raiden/raiden (evil choice) - may the gods have no mercy on you.
raiden (good) - i will always serve and protect earthrealm.
raiden/dark raiden (neutral) - i am the thundergod!!!

this could be interesting to see because then we would not have the same taunghts,moves, and animations for returning characters and could be a breath of fresh air. what you think.

Normally I like most of your ideas but this one I have to pass on. The thought of evolving characters is cool though but how would that be implemented in a fighting game? Also,if we saw characters evolve in front of our eyes the way we want them to like in fable...that would make it hard for the team to follow up with the next installment and not to mention each character would have to have 2 or 3 different endings. Also that would take alot longer to make and I for one am getting impatient to play a new mature MK game on my next gen console.

here's how i would implemented those two features in the game. under your heath bar there could be dragon points similar to how this site rewards your for making good topics, helping out a user and etc. once you attain say 25 dragon points it rewards you depending on what path you take. neutral could take 25 dragon points, good could take 30 dragon points and evil could take 35 dragon points.

once you get however many dragon points you could attain new moves, taunghts, and appearance parts that you can take off if your not happy with. this would give the game replay value and maybe provides secrets like the old games used to.

once you get the right amount of dragon points a menu pop up saying choose your item. there are 3 different kinds of items.
1.moves.
2.taunghts.
3.appearance parts/ similar to tekken 5 on ps2.

also when you select your fighter a little box appears next to the name giving you the path or destiny to take and those are good,evil,and neutral.

i hope this clears some things up and explains it better. and feel free to post back. enjoy.

Meh,its not a bad idea but I still think it does not fit in with this franchise...maybe this could work for a game similar to shoalin monks better than an actual fighter. RPG elements are in other rival games though so naturally you would be curious what it would be like in MK. I think this would flop for MK but its one of those risk taking choices. Kinda like the create a character in MK:A...which I believe saved that game in sales because that is probably one of the best features of the game.
