They did that with deception, and armageddon.

they need something thats never happened before... like shinnok learns some new spell or something and brainwashes the Lui Kang and Raiden
and uses them as his generals in a new assault of Earthrealm.

Now the game will be like the konquest in Armageddon (with the 3D, multi-directional fighting style, unless you fight another one of the major guys). So, you can't fight as any of the Earthrealm generals (Lui Kang and them). but the thing is, you can do the konquest with any other character. Then in the Arcade mode you have to fight all of those generals.

Also, they could have some kind of Arena, Where you fight in the multi direction style against the people in konquest (the lesser guys like, Red Dragon Clan Members, Black Dragon Clan Members, etc.) and the people you fight keep getting tougher and better. then at the very end (of the arena) you have to fight against all the peolple who got mind-controlled/ brainwashed . Or what they could do is have one trail type thing and you have to fight all the people you encounter. And it times you to see how long it takes.

of course you will still be able to play as Lui Kang and Raiden, but you just have to unlock them.

They could still use every character cuz they should still have all the information from Armageddon so that wont be too hard.

I definitly agree they need a fresh new story, but I think the game should be a revolutionary, fast paced, dark, realistic, gory fighting game. With only a select few returning and a small bunch of new intersesting fighters.

Minigame type things like conquest and things should stay just that. MINI games, and should be a very minor part in the game eg. Mortal Kombat Deception's puzzle kombat and chess kombat. They were really fun and simple and it was AWSUM!

OK well I just got a PS3 and in the main menu It says "install other OS" With an OS on the system, people could potentially make hacks for games. What I was thinking is that on Next Gen, ALOT of things should be customizable and able to be transfered through the internet.
Kreate an arena, Kreate a fatality PLUS signatures, PLUS KAF signatures.
The create a Fatality should be on a separate interface like the KAK in MKA. Create the Finisher, create the button combo, Create the camera angles, create the music for the finisher(You can choose from all the presets of previous games). THEN when it says "Finish Him" press a button and watch a show....
They should include both styles plus a weapon, plus the air kombat, plus the directional throwing and air directional throwing.
The minigame should be a complete Shaolin Monks style game with the story integrated in.
The KAK was good but it needs more options. How about Tattoos? Or maybe 2 or 3 options for one body part? How about a cyborg face WITH an eye scar? Kinda nice eh?!
MKA was the palette for the perfect game. But it was far from perfect.
What they need to do is listen to the fans as far as how the game should be, then TAKE THEIR TIME on the damn thing.
Take as much time as they need.
