If it's not the right forum to post this thread, then mods can feel free to move it somewhere more appropriate. Now that I got that out of the way...

This is a game that in strong likelihood will not be made because of licensing issues, but I'd love to see a huge crossover game with MK9's gameplay. You could sort of call this "Guest Kombat" (obviously that wouldn't be the actual title). It could involve the MK series, it could get the most representants, hell it could even be the only franchise mentioned in the title, but the emphasis would be on non-MK characters fighting in MK-style gameplay, with fatalities (including backgrounds-related ones, as in stage fatalities), X-rays and so on.

The characters and franchises represented would largely be M-rated ones of course, R-rated in movies' case, as characters and backgrounds from games/movies/comics etc meant for younger audiences would not get in unless certain developers were willing to pull a Conker, if you know what I mean.

Whether or not there'd be MK characters, there should definitely be MK backgrounds. One thing I like about MK9 is to have Freddy and Kratos fighting in a MK stage and Freddy taking on a MK character in Kratos', so the presence of MK stages in a game like what I'm suggesting would be a way for me to pretend I'm playing a MK game as a guest fighting another one.

There could be a story, but it wouldn't matter as it wouldn't a canon entry for any of the series involved.

So, how would you people feel about such a game? Again, I know it's not too likely, as it would require collaborations between various companies, not just two or sometimes three, but try to forget about that just for a minute. If it could happen, would anyone here besides me approve of the idea?
