There's no chance for Motaro. While the hell-beast is rendered by the engine, it isn't playable. NRS isn't going to overhaul the controls just for one character.

If Motaro could make it anywhere it would have been MK9. But NRS could not handle such a task, and they probably didn't wanted another 2legged motaro like in armageddon. It's just impossible these days to make him work with that body.
So no man, it's not gonna happen.

I don't know why everyone thinks it would be so difficult to make a proper Motaro playable. I know they failed in Armageddon but I think that was due to time constraints. I mean they made Moloch and the DK with irregular attributes in 3D. They can do the same with a playable 4 legged creature by giving him larger hit detection and weight value to the hind legs. I know a few more engine mechanics would probably need to be accommodated but I don't see why NRS can't come up with something and work around it. Else just make him a non playable sub boss or secret fight after Quan Chi raises him from the dead. Zombie Motaro!

I would love to see Motaro in MkX and I think it's a poor excuse to not have the time or the ressources to create him. They are ahead of schedule and one or two workers can only work on that. But just the fact that Motaro died in MK9, prooves they don't want to have him in other game.

I wish Motaro would make another appearance, but no the goat in bad need of medical attention that Quan Chi rides has literally nothing to do with Motaro. Although OP in his own crazy person way does bring up a good point, since Motaro died he would be under the control of Quan Chi. Possible cameo? Possible hellfire zombie Motaro sub boss?!

*Snorts* Just because they managed to make a three second animated horse does not mean Motaro has a bigger chance of returning.

There's a lot more than just creating a playable centaur in a game like this. A LOT more. It was much easier back in the live-action phase of Mortal Kombat, but now we're dealing with stuff that's more complex.

Motaro sadly doesn't work out, and even if he was able to be made, I'm sure there would be something scrapped to make room for this giant character. Something that's probably more worthy being in this game than him, despite that I am a fan of him. I just don't ever see him returning, unless they find a way to where he works in this game with all four legs and he's not just a jumbled mess.

Of course having Motaro with 4 legs is ideal, but I personally didn't dislike biped-Motaro. The only thing I didn't like from MKA Motaro was the face... didn't look sinister like it did in his MK3/UMK3/MKT version. As for what you say, don't get your hopes too high, because Motaro being in MKX is almost impossible.

I reminded me of that three headed monster from the background of the hell level in MK9.

Minus the other two heads of course.

Motaro si so original and uniique that he was the best new character in MK3 and expansions.

it's hilarious how many petitions we're seeing to have a stupid, useles and story-less character like Tremor, coming from the worst game in the series, and nobody cares for Motaro.
That's why the average Mk fanbase is stupid and wastes more time complaining than making constructive criticism.

PS: the real reason why Motaro isn't going to return is, according to Ed Boon's words, that he doesn't want to have a character that takes almost the entire screen.
