I hope we get more than one season of DLC

Sorry if that has been brought up in a topic already, and I at least would imagine it's been brought up in conversation, but NRS doesn't have the best track record of doing more than one season of DLC so far. I'm really happy that we are getting 4 new characters eventually, but I would hope for another season since half of these people are guest characters.

Based on Ed's recent tweet, he seems to be hinting towards Spawn which I'm definitely fine with, but I would like more than 2 characters to be classic characters. That doesn't leave room for the likes of Fujin, Reiko, or Havik to be in.

I really hope they do a second season this time and support this game for some time. Don't jump right into your next product.

Guess I must have missed that. And not everyone NRS says turns out to be true.

Didn't know that next generation of MK meant the offspring of classic characters, plus those same classic characters.

Gtfo! Did they? When? Where? I completely missed that.

I'm honestly not at all nuts that 50% of the announced DLC is guest characters, so I'm REALLY hoping for more. But it's so rare that any game that does a Season Pass actually does more than one Season.

If this is true, god do I hope Season 2 doesn't have guests (but it'll probably have at least one...)

They didn't confirm it per se, but when they were asked about how much there would be they said "All we are saying is that there are four characters to start."

So I really hope that they do a second season with all classics Give me Reiko, Havik, Bo Rai Cho, and Frost. Don't expect any of them to be in the initial 2 classic characters. Plus, I don't think we're done seeing Frost in the comic. I hope not at least.

I highly doubt the next "season" of DLC would only contain MK4/MKD characters. They're not nearly popular enough to warrant sales, imo. Maybe Fujin/Reiko/Tanya/POSSIBLY Havik but anyone else I doubt. But what do i know

Just fan hoping that we get to see other characters get more developed instead of the son of a classic character. These other people still exist, and I'd imagine we will get to see a lot of cameos in this game. I'm just hoping they decide to do a second season at some point. It can be 2 new characters and 2 classics in the second season for all I care. I just don't want the first season to be Baraka and Liu Kang and the second season be Kabal and Shang Tsung. Kabal is my favorite character, but I would rather see a more recent underused character (MK4-MKD) over someone that I can just pop in MK9 and play.

Injustice had a season pass which was 4 characters - Batgirl, Zod, Lobo & Scorpion, they then did another 2 characters after this - Zatanna & Martian Manhunter

So maybe we will see more than 4 with MKX

lol I guess, but idk if NRS feels that way. I considered Fujin/Havik/Tanya locks for MKX a year ago but now it looks like none of them will be in. So I don't know anymore really.

Oh but Fujin and Havik are in the MKX...the Comic! Haha grin, but I guess NRS wanted to do a brand new story, so Havik and Fujin only serve as cameos at this point, maybe idk.

I tell myself I won't come to MKO, yet here I am still speculating.

The only way these cheap asses at WB will give us more than one sesson is for sales to be high on the first pack. They have given us so much on this game,i will def support it with whatever they put out. NRS deserved props for what we r getting in this game.

With two fucking spots going to guests(I love Jason but still) we better get more than just two MK characters as DLC.

I wanted at least a solid 8 DLC MK characters. Something like-

Sektor
Cyrax
Fujin
Tanya
Havik
Reiko
Li Mei
Frost

But I'm not holding my breath obviously, with our luck we'll just get-

Jason
Spawn/Predator
Shang Tsung
Another MK9 Returnee
Goro

To be honest, I've never seen a game with more than one "season". It's all been one season pass and that's it. Let's hope it's different here.

Lol just playing, but really...

Mortal Kombat is my all time game. It's the only game I give a shit about. I don't play your guy's other bunny foo foo pansy ass run around and save the day for princess blah blah and upgrade my gear. I juggle and rip people's heads off.

I don't care if the game is out yet or not, I'd preorder extra DLC seasons if I could. I want as much content as freaking possible. I really hope they add as much DLC as Street Fighter 4, so yeh I definitely want more than one season of DLC. A new MK opportunity only comes around every 4(ish) years nowadays.

You guys all remember what the SAME studio did with a little game called, INJUSTICE, right?

I would bet anything that we'll get multiple Kombat Packs/Season Passes with various characters that are still in high demand and several skin packs.

I am praying for more than 1 dlc character package.

I would buy 10 if that's how many the pushed out.

Considering it will be most likely 4 years before the next MK game I would like them to at least service this game heavily for 2 years. With dlc packages, skins, characters, maps, etc.

Since the inclusion of the living tower I have been hopefully in NRS's commitment to the extended life of MKX.
