I hate you ....you just jinxed it... Shakes fist!!!!! I don't think they will reveal unlockable characters

In before the massive amount of hate these characters have been getting in the past couple of weeks.

But really, I don't mind who we get next, but I wouldn't mind seeing a new character for the next reveal just to change things up.

It's either get them out of the way now so all the later reveals are good, or reveal the least hype, most expected characters during the more important months right before the game comes out, when the hype needs to be cranked up to max.

One of these seems a blatantly better choice than the other to me...and it's not the one that you're asking for.

I think it's time for them to build hype and reveal the 6 characters in the boot hint. Give us all 6 and we'll have something to talk about. Even if we just get their variation renders, idc.

All three should be revealed together so we can get them out of the way. It'll suck for October, November, and December to each be wasted on three separate reveals for three (imo)boring characters.

If it is them, you'll be hype when you see their variation trailer.

But, ultimately it is my belief that, from this moment fourth, there will be NO more reveals. Nothing. Not a screen shot, video, gif, boot shots, dlc hint, detail(written or gestured), tweet, commercial, pop up, comic, merchandise...whatever.

I'm fine with it, but that's because I like Liu, I can deal with Cage, and I just don't care about Sonya.

Even if you dislike them wouldn't you rather just get them out of the way?

The only way I see them getting announced near the release date is if there is some super awesome revamp/reveal that no ones going to believe.

As some have said, I'd rather they announce them now and get them out of the way. We all know they're in; let's get to the real surprises.

It's happened before and it'll happen again.

The graphics look amazing, the gameplay looks fast paced and very fun (according to Casselman in fact, it is!) there has not been a dull intro yet between characters when they interact, the x-rays are extremely brutal, the fatalities are extremely detailed, not to mention gruesomely gorgeous.

So whoever they reveal at this point will be completely bad ass. I don't expect anything less than that. These guys know what they're doing, and I think they're doing an amazing job.

They're marketing is questionable. But that's another topic for another thread that has already been made lol.

I want to see evil fire-god Liu Kang that was teased from what I remember from arcade endings of the last game.

I'm waiting to see Johnny, specially if they go the seidan route and even if not I would be fine. I'm curious to see what they will do with Liu Kang as it could get really interesting, and while I'm not too much interested on Sonya, a revamp could do wonders there too.

Remember the Kano reveal and how we were surprised about how such an uninteresting character looked really cool and has amazing body language?

As others have said, a good revamp and we will all be aboard the hype train.

And as previously said too, it's better to get the "known ones" now so the hype builds up the closer the release date is.

I wouldn't mind if the next three reveals were these 3 characters. If they're in, get them out of the way now so you can build on the hype later with MK4 - MKD and new characters. Once January hits, I believe the marketing hype train will pick up considerably.

Maybe Liu Kang, but Sonya and Johnny seems like they're only playable in the Story mode. So no, but that's my theory.

NRS should announce them already so we can get on to the more interesting characters...

I would like to see some characters that the community is pining for first before seeing those three. Tanya, Fujin, Shinnok, Mileena, Ermac, etc.

I think showing Sonya/Cage (and maybe Kang, if he's not supposed to be the surprise boss) closer to the game's release is a good idea. They're highly recognizable characters and people are expecting them from what happened at the end of MK9s story mode. Revealing, say, Tanya and Fujin around that time wouldn't generate as much hype with the general public. Drawing close associations between your new game and your very successful previous game right before release is a good way to boost sales.

But I wouldn't terribly mind if they were revealed next, provided that they have awesome variation/gameplay trailers. It would just be disappointing at this stage, when a good number of us are clawing at the walls for more information, to reveal a character that is essentially already confirmed.

I'd like Liu Kang. The rest - I hope not.

Out of these three, Sonya is the one I actually want to see revealed first, just to see how different she'll be from Cassie, gameplay-wise. I've always liked Johnny, so seeing him revealed would probably make me happy too. As for Liu Kang, I'll wait and see. He could easily be the second most boring reveal next to Raiden, if his gameplay wasn't entertaining enough.

I'd like to see new characters or unexpected returnees revealed next, but Sonya and Johnny wouldn't leave me bored like they would most of the fans. And as far as I'm concerned anyway, we already got the most boring and obvious one out of the way: Scorpion.

If Johnny gets revealed and his moveset is totally revamped with Seido influences, then hell yeah I want him. The rest I don't really care about.
