...it seems like Game Informer is always the first source of information everytime an MK game comes out, as it has been for the passed 5 years. I have the first coverage on Armageddon in the GI issue it was Jan '06.

Just keep an eye out for Game Informer's main website as they show a preview of their next issue every month around the 10th, and ship their issues after the 15th or so day of that month.

Hopefully we get some news soon, this forum is dead.

i thought that it'd come shortly after the release of UMK on DS. thinking this, i've checked the news feed probably everyday since the last update. every single day thinking its coming any day now. i think i'm gonna block myself from this site for a month or two.

I will wait as long as it takes...even more than that if it's necessary, but it better be phenomenal when it comes.

A render, an interview. Nothing over informative though. I don't want to know much above a little bit before the game comes out. I think that's the best way to go with Mk anyway...Maybe I'll even get out of here after I see a render like I did with MkA. I don't wanna know technical stuff before I play it either. That way, I can have a pure opinion, cuz MkO gets to you about a MK game...

Anyway, yea. Don't go insane bro, try to find something else to do in the meantime, and be surprised. It's the best feeling about Mk before release I think.

Yea as much as I want info and I check the site about 3 to 5 times a day, It would be best if they released very little about the game, this would insure the shock factor you would get when you get the game, kinda like the old MK games where they came to arcades. MK2 and MK4 had huge shock factors for me. Ive tried making myself not come to this site or any other MK site and just wait for the game to come out, but thats not working either. Id like to see 1 detailed Scorpion picture and read info that there will be detailed fatalitys and detailed animalitys and the release date is Nov 2008. Then we shouldn't get anything else until its released.

Oh and I would like to know Reptile made the game and they finally made him look real.

I don't particularly mind at the moment. Of course I want to see something on MK8, but Midway don't have a reason to reveal MK8 yet. Soul Calibur IV and Tekken 6 will be taking up most of the lime light at the moment.

And seeing as recent Midway games have been a bit crap then if I were them I would leave it to at least E3 to start the promotion wagon.

Yeah, the lack of news sucks. It isn't as bad as Resident Evil 5 though

Keeping to up to date with news kind of killed Deception for me, because thoug it was probably my favorite MK game, it was like I had already seen everything in the game before I played, every fatality, ever character ect.

But at the same time, it kind of saved me on Armeggedon, because once I read that you could only create one character, there were no original fatalities and no bio's or real endings, I canceled my pre order, and upon renting it, realized it was good I didnt buy the game.

With this game, I dont want to spoil myself, so im simply going to wait for the first preview of the game just to see the art style, and what to expect gameplay wise, pre-order it, and be patient. I dont want to spoil anything for myself.

The only thing I wish they would do in MK games would be include the fatality inputs in practice or move sections, because im not one of those people that can sit around for 9 hours straight just to figure out what the input is for a fatality. Its like a trying to find a needle in a haystack.

Actually...I want to know if the next MK game is going to be a VS game.

As in an MK VS DC game, or MK VS Marvel.
All the MK team has to do is go on record and say the next MK game will not be a "VS" game. That is all the news I want.

I know how ya feel. I am about to die. I wanna cut my face off everytime i see that stupid news feed about the fatality trailer for MKDS. I NEED to know about mk8.

I just want to say that many of you have mentioned video and picture news as having damaged youre interests in MKD, and maybe even MK8 if it happens.

For me, it can be any sort of news....a web article.....a magazine article....some word of what the mini games will be like, how many total characters there are.....whether it will be for the Wii or not....will there be a konquest.....that sort of thing.

I actually love renders and videos and such. I am a sucker for spoilers. Doesn't affect the game for me at all. Just hypes it up more for me.


However.... I had a dream last night that FINALLY they showed a teaser trailer for MK8 and it was all Marvel Characters and Star Wars characters. I was NOT down. And NO violence. If MK goes the way of a VS game, I will be EXTREMELY disappointed.
