1) 2v2 with all four characters onscreen at the same time without tagging. One health bar for each team.
2) 2v2 with two characters onscreen at one time. Nimble characters to do Tricking/Team Tricking when they tag in their partner (and switch out). One healthbar per character. Characters recover health when out-of-play.

Neither.
It should stay how it is, 1v1 with Tag swapping, assisting, coming in with attacks, and 2 health bars per team. But I definitely think they should shoot for improvements in Tag for sure.
Tag mode, if brought back needs to feel more exclusive. Certain teams should have Tag Fatalities, Tag X-Rays, and Team intros and win poses. My biggest problem with Tag in MK9 is it felt like 1v1 with 2 more people. At least with Tag Fatalities and Tag X-Rays there's more reason to play Tag.
Another thing that should be considered for Tag is allowing to players o line to be on the same team without being local. It really annoyed me that my friends and I couldn't do Tag matches online together. Hopefully they can get that sorted out.

Yeah 2) was 1v1 as tag mode in MK9. I just suggested when a character switches out and tags in their partner, the one leaving should do tricking if he is nimble. I agree on tag x-rays, tag intros, tag win poses but tag fatalitites will be too complex, I don't think they've reached that stage.

Not necessarily.
They were discussed for MK9, but time constraints made it impossible to put them in. I think the NRS team is creative enough to make something like this happen.

Sure they can put them in, but I don't care for fatalities and for them to make tag fatalities, I think is a long stretch. Unless these tag fatalities are so much better than single fatalities, I don't really have an opinion. What do u think of tricking suggestion?

Remove tag.
I didn't like it in MK9, didn't think it worked very well and I'm just glad it's not mandatory.

I watched the tricking video, and while it's flashy it seems wholly unnecessary. Each character having their own tag out animations makes them unique and gives them personality. If the more athletic characters just flipped off screen it would look weird.

Tag is the ONLY mode I play.
Why would you EVER want to be stuck with just one character at a time when you COULD have two and change on the fly?
Also, I'm so sick of MK things not being co-op. Shaolin Monks was the most straight-up FUN an MK game has EVER been. Plus, the storyline hasn't been about one-on-one fights since 1993, why should the gameplay not take into account how many partnerships and teams of characters there are?
Also, co-op becoming less common in gaming in general outside of FPSes really pisses me off.
I would play an MK JRPG (or any RPG engine that allows for a party of dudes to follow you around, I guess, just as long as it's not some lonely Fable/Skyrim/Dark Souls borefest), I would play an MK MOBA, I would play another beat 'em up, I would take ANY of those things over another god damned fighting game that doesn't have tag.

Do u think if nimble characters did Tricking for intro before the fight is a good idea? Kind of like the power rangers when they do a some tricks then say 'Red Ranger' etc. Or is specialized intro/outro dialogue based on character relationships a better idea.

That's just what I prefer. Never been into tag.

I think personalized intros/outros are the better idea. It helps better represents the character's personalities.

Do u not think Tricking/Team Tricking or even Parkour is a good idea? Maybe even just a few scenes? Say for example when Sub-Zero and Scorpion meet Quan Chi, and Quan Chi is doing his skull moves at both of them and both Scorpion and Sub-Zero and doing tricking and dodging the skulls. I could think of another scene where they could use this, in MK9 there's a scene where Stryker is shooting bullets at Reptile, and he could've done some Tricking/Parkour there. Here's a game that has a scene with Parkour

In Some cases, sure, I mean, we ALL would take ANYTHING besides "Hey, I'm making a wall of acid out of my mouth that blocks the bullets" in that scene.
However, personalised Intro/Outro's for tag are better than Backflips, At best, Liu Kang should do it.

It's more than just backflips. U get backflips in gymnastics/acrobatics. Parkour/Tricking is a form of martial arts gymnastics.

I don't understand. Someone to vanish into a flame, then reappear??? Isn't that like Scorpion's teleport?

So kinda like TTT2 when you had 2 characters who had either history or some sort of rivalry going on or family ties.
