I want roughly 35 characters gameplay-wise, but story wise, I only want about 18 important characters.

I'd say NRS has found the sweet spot as far as character count goes. They've proven that they have no problem with character diversity the past few games.

As much as I love 'Back in my day' bits, things are better now. Not overall, of course, but strictly in relation to the mods' disinterest.

I want it to be MK Armageddon big, plus new characters.

Hopefully not too much bigger. Just a few new characters.

If that comes off as rude, I apologize. I've been looking for a place to use it and this is probably as close as I'll get so sorry.

Anyway, I really hope we don't have that many characters for a sequel. It should expand on the current roster so somewhere around 34-36 would be fine. But 60+ and new characters? That's just insane.

60+ hell no. I don't want to see similar looking characters and especially characters borrowing aka stealing other characters move.

How can u expect the game to be balanced. Look at new killer instinct. Very balanced and everyone is a threat to play with.

I want the same to happen to mk. Yeah stryker may not match Raiden, but make Stryker like Batman and then we will respect him greatly.

I want character development over new undeveloped characters.

On Topic; All the new characters from MK4-MKD plus the survivors from MK 2011 storymode.

Slightly bigger than MK9 would ok as long as they bring back Frost, Sareena, Jade.

Frost was the most requested female DLC character for mk9. I don't think Jade should return. I think they should introduce Tanya.

It seems people roughly want 30 characters. I think that's a great number. IMO there should be 7 old bad guys, 7 old good guys, 7 new bad guys, 7 new good guys. A few brand new characters. 7 is god's perfect number and 6 is the devils number. This is why I guess there is 7 deadly sins and 7 heavenly virtues. And why there is 7 wonders of the world.

The ol' "Quality over Quantity" applies here...

I feel from MK9 and Injustice as examples, I think anywhere from 24-30 is ideal. No more, no less. 26-28 would be the hotspot for me.

30 at MAX. I can't see them bringing back the dead characters from MK9, if they do, that's the only way i can see the roster being ~40 characters, since the balancing would be easier in case they don't change the engine and the MK9 characters remain unchanged.

Look at other games, Tekken TT2 had a massive cast of characters because they've been using the same engine since God knows when, or Ultra Street Fighter 4 will have a 44 character roster, but it'll be the 4th revision of the game.

I'd rather get quality, viable characters, balanced gameplay, over another Armageddon mess.
