I'm kinda tired of the whole "too many special forces" thing, too. God forbid Earthrealm fighters actually unite under something not Raiden (that worked out so well in MK9). The Cassie, Jacqui, Takeda, Jin team are obviously thrown together given the dialogue in the story trailer. Kung Jin looks nothing like a special forces operative. Takeda is supporting his Shirai Ryu scorpion over any American flags or star eagles. Even Kenshi and Johnny joining the special forces makes 100% sense considering the other group protecting the realm are Shaolin Monks.

Also, why are people thinking Kitana is going to be on the protagonist side? She looks more rogue or full on bad from everything we've seen from her so far. That said, I wish Shinnok has one or two non-reminat henchmen and Mileena has a couple playable supporters against Kotal's 5. Look I understand the need for balance but you are just trying to put everyone in a box why would kenshi and takeda be in the White lotus? Why would ermac and Liu kang be evil and on the same side as Shinnok? You lists don't make sense to me there is a better way to balance the game without having 5 equal teams of 5 especially changing mortal kombat lore just to make even teams

True but since some of these good guys are most likely under Quan Chi control in parts of the game. so people like Kung Lao , Kitana etc. are somewhat evil at some point.
