I also brought up the 3rd sub-zero as out of the box thinking and the rumor with the :I was reborn unlike you" Scorpion says to Sub had me thinking. (Albeit the dead man, reference i caught could be talking about the fight that's ahead of them) I am not questioning your journalism integrity just trying to put pieces together that may not seem compatible at first glance.

Yeah, same here. But you know how people are, lol. But I think from what we have seen, even people who hated Frost in the past may change their minds with the way NRS is revamping old characters. They seem to be on a roll.

This new dialogue confirms it's either Bi-Han or Kuai Liang, and not a new Sub-Zero. The new dialogue works well for either brother, and so does the "fear their powers" quote, but the protector dialogue only fits Bi-Han so I think it's him.

I dont see how it can possibly 'confirm' that it is not a different sub-zero. While I honestly do not care if its Bi-Han, Kuai Liang, or brand new. I just do not want to box in one specific Subby (Considering he is one of my favorite characters playstyles with cryomancy)

I really hope it's not an all new Sub-Zero. To me it's pointing more towards Bi-Han, if he becomes the champion of the Elder Gods I'll be happy as fuck.

I want a new Sub-Zero.

Bi-Han and Kuai Liang just don't do it for me. A new Sub-Zero could actually get me to like the character.

Yeah exactly, I like to speculate just as much as anyone else but when it comes down to it it's whatever NRS decides to do, I'm not going to get bent out of shape over it. I'd really like to see Bi-Han in the Lin Kuei clad again, but we will see, I have a good feeling about this game so far.

First off, I would LOVE for Bi-Han to be Sub Zero again as he was always my favorite version of that character. However I also like him just fine as Noob Saibot so I won't be bummed if its not him as Sub. But honestly I think its still Kuai Liang as Sub Zero and the "I decided to thaw out" line is a stupid pun referring to him getting out of Quan Chi's control which somehow restored him to his human form. It sounds dumb, I know, I'm just not convinced by this brief dialog that it is for sure Bi-Han. And I think the Scorpion and Sub dialog will always be hostile sounding to interest casuals.

Also I don't think its a new brother or their dad or even their cousin who lives in Florida that they've only met twice because that would be really, really, really, lame.

As I agree with everything you said, I have to add I found that last bit hilarious, probably because I am from Florida, but still. xD

I'd love Bi-Han, I'd love Kuai, I wouldn't care to much for a new one but I mean whatever, I don't see it heading in that direction anyways.

How would you guys feel if this new Sub-Zero killed Quan Chi? And not Scorpion?

I believe Subby got separated from the dark entity that was Noob after the soulnado and this is him, revitalised.

Sorry I did not play any other mirror matches. Only other line I heard is not that enthralling: Quan Chi to Cassie "little miss Cage.." in a snarky tone. Couldn't make out what she said...could've sworn she said "Quan Chi I presume" in there, as in she didn't know him. Which would make sense given the gap in time between them...maybe Quan does not survive long enough to actually meet her in the story mode.


If the frozen line is against Kano, then we got confirmation of Kuai Liang, as it was him who froze Kano in MK9.

I feel that the game won't play favorites with our MK mascots. Both of them are going to undergo some fucked-up shit by the antagonists and possibly one of them might not be able to survive. Sub-Zero might die AGAIN or Scorpion won't be able to have his revenge because Quan Chi fucked his mind up with some nefarious act. Or and HE might die as well only this time it probably won't be a second chancer. This will probably be the most darkest hour for our ninja friends since Deadly Alliance and Deception. Again it's just speculation on my part. It just gives me chills when I speculate this...

I've said several times that I don't care for Sub-Zero. That shouldn't surprise you. But a new Sub-Zero sounds kinda cool to me.

I can understand why fans of Kuai would be upset, since he defined Sub-Zero. But if it's a new Sub I have a chance to like the character, which I haven't done since MK3.

Id be cool with it, but IF he is going to get killed off, I at least want Scorpion to know it was Quan who was responsible for the death of his family and clan, so he can have some sort of closure, and maybe find a new purpose.

Hm...BTW, if they want to go all out they could do just that.
Though, I am not sure how Cyber-Noob could be superrior to regular Saibot.

Going from Cyber Sub to Noob Saibot would be pretty damn stupid. (Nothing against you, of course.)

Speaking of, Noob has long run his course and it's time for him to move on. He's spent 21 years in the timeline without doing a whole lot. Including him won't really be doing the new game any favors.
