I'm doubting Jax. It's pretty clear now that the challenge tower pic people assumed was Jax is actually Takeda. Not to mention he wasn't shown in the story trailer, and it's not like he would be some sort of big surprise that NRS would want to keep hidden.

There's so much evidence for Jax, I'm surprised by all the doubt in here.

His voice actor confirmed working on the game recently on his twitter, we heard Cassie's portuguese voice actor record intro dialogue with Jax, he's seen in towers amongst other playable characters, he's got a new design in the comic that seem to match the one on the towers...and lastly, boot #5 is still unknow and looks like something he would have.

Because they are in denial. Most don't want to admit they inevitable. Jax is ok with me i mean i don't want him but if hes in hes in. I've came to my senses long time ago that the fav i most wanted to be in wont be in and the others i had hope for. But some people are still trying to fool themselves and saying wait till april 14th when we know certain people wont be on the roster.

Jax's inclusion would make me cry. I literally don't see any reason for him being involved. We got sidekick's niece, do we really need sidekick?

I'm telling you guys, the picture that everyone thinks is Jax in the Tower is Takeda. Look at it again.

He may very well be an NPC in story mode, but that Tower picture is CLEARLY Takeda, as he looks in the story trailer.

The only problem with that is the figure in the tower has the same wires as Jax, isn't wearing a headband like Takeda and appears to be wearing a vest.

Im thinking Jax and Sonya may be in..Without Cage because Cassie has the hollywood style............Annnnd maaybb the guy in the towers didnt have robot arms but rock arms.........So Tremor......Yup confirmed..

If they're bringing yet another character back from the dead (jax) I would have honestly preferred they retconned MK9's ending rather than the "miraculously" saved and revived selected few BS. Seriously, with Netherrealm war potentially getting skipped and this MK9's story is becoming a joke.

I don't think it will get completely skipped but generally glossed over, just enough to function as a set-up, they rest will probably be delivered by flashbacks, the main focus will be what happens after and 25 years later. They're not going to be able to cover everything in one story mode.

I mean I could eat my words and Jax can actually have a distinctive role other than training Jaqui and piggybacking off of Sonya- but I doubt it, they never do anything interesting with him. The closest they ever came was in Deadly Alliance when he was tracking down Hsu Hao- I kinda liked that.

My hype for this game died quite a bit after the story mode trailer :( I hate the special forces characters and I hate most of the earth realm ones also.....seems like this game has too many if them. Where the fuck is smoke, noob, Shang tsung, baraka, kabal, sector, cyrax, sindel????? Not a very good list if the leak is true. I will still get the game day 1 & the game play looks great, just don't understand what the fuck they were thinking as far as the kast goes.

To the Jax discussions, the image in the Living Tower is clearly not dark skinned and looks very much like Takeda with the robotic suit. He could still be in, but to say it's clearly Jax in the towers is just silly.

People should really have saw Johnny and Sonya being in. They play too much of an important role to be left out of this one. So far they are the only ones we know are involved in the Neatherrealm War along with Raiden. I'm willing to bet Kenshi and Sub-Zero will also be involved in that arch. Johnny and Sonya don't die in that arch, so they are going to be around at least until Kotal and Mileena's war. Apparently Kitana and Kung Lao get saved. The same will happen to Jax.
