At least Original Timeline Goro had the brains to hide away, let everyone think he was dead, and protect what was left of his rep after MK1 so that he didn't spend MK2 and 3 getting beaten up by every random jackass under the sun.

So I dunno, all three Shokans got punked so bad in MK9 that none of them have any cred left as fighters OR as "scary monsters" no matter how tall they are or how many arms they have, so why even put them in the game?

Unless whichever one you put in has a Rocky movie-style storyline about being a loser who no one respects or is afraid of anymore so he decides to build himself back up into being a champion again. But that would mean he'd have to be a playable hero and actually succeed, otherwise, you'll just continue making him look like a loser and damage his cred even further.

I have always liked Goro, more so than any of the other Shokan warriors and Motaro. Unfortunately, he belongs to the group of characters who got screwed hard by NRS in the last game since they decided he'd do well as a punching bag for the Shaolin which completely ruined his rep as this scary, undefeatable warrior. I do hope we see him back in MKX as the only (playable) Shokan warrior, giving him a chance to redeem himself. I don't want him as a subboss. Keep Kintaro and Sheeva out

I am willing to accept a new Shokan fighter as long as they do it right. I mean, give him a badass design and moveset that differentiates him from the others (e.g. much faster speed) and make his goal something in the direction of establishing the Shokan dominance in Outworld as opposed to being the favored butt-kissing species to the ruler of it
