That's bullshit and not at all what he was saying. He was saying things are DLC because they fall out of the schedule, not their schedule forces them to make things DLC. He's saying DLC is planned ahead of time and scheduled to be worked on after the game has shipped.

That sounds a lot like them jumping to conclusions. I didn't see Himmerick imply that at all in his tweets.

Meh, doesn't really bother me. I think all that means is that some (probably not all) of the DLC were characters they initially wanted in the roster but didn't have time to work on them so they pushed them to the side to be saved for DLC after the game was finished. Probably nothing to worry about.

Agreed, I have seen in multiple interviews that the developers said that they were ahead of schedule. They planned the DLC beforehand because there was always going to be DLC.

I don't think they've announced when the DLC is coming out but I've never liked NRS's pricing model. The DLC characters come out so close to launch that it's natural to question if they were on disc. Even if all this content is post launch, 30 bucks is ridiculous. I get what the article is getting at but I don't agree with it. The last two games weren't good for DLC either, saying it's better than Evolve isn't really the point. I think gamer's have just gotten more fed up with this kind of stuff over the years (The #nopre-order thing that's happening). Evolve was just a reality check, it made people realize how bad things have gotten. There's good DLC and bad DLC, MKX is falling under the bad category right now IMO...Then there's Evolve lol that's in a category of it's own.

If they don't "have the time" to put the characters in at launch, they should have announced the launch date be in June instead of April.

Is a workable solution, except in practice difficult to do. I managed to obtain MKKE but not Injustice and it seems to have disappeared from every shop's radar. The only other way around it is shopping online, meaning i'll have to convince a friend to buy it for me and hassle ra rar a aaargh why can't things ever be simple RANT RANT Such a tease having half a game this year and a komplete version next year (who in their ivory tower thinks up such evil consumerist schemes?)
