Already there was a crossover between Mortal Kombat and DC Universe . The Mortal Kombat universe created Mad Clown to replace the Joker in another MK game to not use DC characters . But how would all the DC characters replaced by generic characters ? The answer in this address:

I think the "Mad Clown" you're referring to was just the Netherrealm team's way of re-creating the initial Joker fatality the way they wanted it to be. Joker's fatality in MKvDC was meant to be slightly more graphic but they couldn't get away with showing Joker shooting Batman (or any hero, really) in the face the way they intended.

I for one want to see original MK characters, not generic copies of DC's heroes.

Now that MK is owned by the guys who own DC comics, why would they need to create generic versions of DC characters? The only reason the clown in Shang's finisher isn't Joker is specifically because it's supposed to be a gag.

Mortal Kombat should be like Soulcalibur, and clone the hell out of existing characters.

This is pretty much what you said, bro.

Not that I don't love Soulcalibur, I fucking LOVE it. However, the cloning of characters is Project Soul's biggest flaw, and no game needs to jump on that.

The Warner can make games of DC and MK, but they are of different universes, or we will game of MK with Bugsbunny, or a game from Marvel with Mickey... the universes only cross in crossovers.

So you want the MK universe to have superheroes who wear spandex and capes and fly?

Where were all these superheroes when New York City was being invaded and destroyed by monsters and dragons in the last game?

Liu Kang, Raiden, Johnny Cage, Sub-Zero, etc. ARE the superheroes of the MK universe, what would we need copies of Superman and Batman for?

They MK kombatents are heroes, but what the problem in have "spandex" heroes too? In a crossover works... why not put a little more heroes and villains? Is only put them in a tornament like like the MK vs DC again. In the new time line of MK universe and DC tournamente MK vs DC never happens, so make the news heroes to find the kombatents and to fight agains Dark Kahn (with Shao Kahn soul and a new villain that looks like Darkseid).
That's could be cool, if will not is only forget these characters.
But see the heroic butalities transformed in fatalities is very cool.

wow

I completely disagree with this. There is no reason to add generic copy cat characters to a game series that is loaded with Awesome characters!

I thought it was because NRS really was pissed that Joker's Brutality had to be changed in Mk vs DC?

As said, the Mad Clown isn't a character, it's just used as a way to show what Joker's fatality was going to be like. That character has no purpose in that game other than to be a joke, which many were not too fond of (Why, I have no idea, I thought it was a funny fatality).

They threw in random characters in 2011 such as the mysterious woman in Jade's ending for example. They don't need to put in generic heroes just because they have a tendency to add in additional, nameless characters that may or may not serve a purpose later on. And they don't need to make another new series when they have Injustice to work with just to have super heroes fighting against villains.

Mad Clown = running out of ideas and covering it up in a smart way.

Why this idea? Because the story could be make again better, for not use DC characters, and be free to make a new game with fatalities, and can use the almost same story, and have new MK characters. My question is: Why not do it???

No, we don't need them. We don't need ANOTHER crossover game after having it a few years ago. What we have now is fine.

Don't is a crossover game, all character will be of MK. Blood, violence, kills and a good story. And transiction of stages as MK vs DC.
Take of DC, is only MK.

I wouldn't like another MK Vs DC game. It's not cool.
