To get right to it, as we know Havik is the person pulling the strings in the Mortal Kombat X comic. He's manipulating Reiko obviously, as Reiko's lust for power might blind him. Now, here is where it might get interesting.

Now, why would Havik be doing this? For what purpose? We know for a fact, the guy loves chaos. He lives for it.

My theory, is that Havik was told by someone about the use of the Kamidogu daggers. Was told to corrupt them, possess people. That by doing this, chaos will be reborn.

That person I personally think is Noob Saibot.

Only going by his non-canon ending in MK9, maybe Noob Saibot found and negotiated with Havik. Therefore, Havik would be working for Noob Saibot, making Noob the main and shadowy boss. The true puppet master. Would make sense as he's really, REALLY mysterious and is one of the few classic characters with no information shown (among others, but Noob would be my first choice).

Why Reiko? We know his connections with the Brotherhood of Shadow aren't really told as much anymore and I guess retconned, but as a fan theory, maybe Noob Saibot knew of him since Noob was part of the same group. Maybe Noob Saibot knew Reiko would be the most gullible to believe he can achieve great power.

The daggers have connections to Quan Chi (Stated by Fox), well, before being kicked in the Soulnado maybe Noob Saibot had learned about the daggers in the time he was in Quan Chi's service.

The motive for Noob Saibot doing all this? I have no clue, Reiko is doing it for power, Havik for chaos. Noob? Maybe control, or even a higher motive for his hidden agenda.

He does have a ''purpose'', we know he's on a mission.
