LOL. Most pre order DLC is finished before the games' release. It has to be otherwise players would not be able to play it on release day.

I guess that is the point? If it is done, shouldn't everyone have access to it? Pre-order DLC/most DLC is a cash grab scheme. "Buy the game now or you'll have to buy Goro separately later, even though he is completed."

...and I pre-ordered, but it was on the premise that I definitely was going to buy the game anyway.

They do but then how do you do pre order DLC? The relavent time about whining about the morals of pre order DLC has long gone past anyway. Near enough every big game has pre order DLC now. Games have had pre order DLC for several years now and is now common place. If consumers did not like it, they should have made their complaints back when it first appeared and it would not be in games today.

Pre-order dlc should be cosmetic and nothing that takes content away from the game like a character for example, mk9 pre order bonus was fine and the result of pre-orders are broken games nowadays. look at arkham knight for pc due to the uproar by pc community WB took it down (steam refunds also had a big part to play). Gamers are generally stupid and fall for marketing I have been complaining for years now and nothing is changed because the public are too dumb to understand that content is being taken out of games and cautious gamers like me are being screwed over. Watch dogs was the reason when I said enough is enough that game flopped hard and it was hyped up to be revolutionary.

Lol watchdogs seemed like a flop from the get go when people were comparing/saying it woulD outsell and be better than gta 5.. I never have understood why people bitch and moan so much about pre order bonuses. If your 100% set on getting a game (the only time I buy a game) what does it matter if there's a pre order bonus or not I'm still pre ordering, picking it up at midnight, and enjoy my game without letting trivial things ruin the experience.. I will say I was surprised when they announced Goro as the pre order bonuses, but instead of being A little bitch about pre orders, I was thinking "oh shit, goro is playable this time!" I'm glad he was the pre order instead of apart of Kp1 or 2

What happens if the game sucks though? why should I be punished because I want to be smart with my money and wait for reviews. Even hitman my favourite game I will wait Im patient and I shouldnt be punished for that. I never say 100% I want a game and their are many others like me its not faur we got punished because we want to know whether the game actually works. what about the people who pre ordered batman arkham knight on pc? They were fucked over big time. The fact goror is on the main roster locked off pisses me off and proves they worked on him. think about it if pre order bonuses encourage developers to lock off content and alot of time is spent on them. Im not a gamer who blindly spends money on bullshit marketing. i mean ffs in metro hard light they locked off a difficulty level for pre-order its getting worse and worse and I am tired of this bullshit.

No. Pre orders do not correlate to broken games. Broken games are due to a multitude of reasons with the most common one being that the developer did not have enough time working on the game to meet the release date.

Arkham Knight on the PC was broken because the studio which the code was outsourced to, Iron Galaxy, did not or could not put enough resources to optimise the game for PC within the time frame they were given. It has nothing to do with the amount of pre orders the game had.

The uproar had an effect and Warner Bros took the game down of which the same could be applied to pre order DLC which I said already. If gamers did not like pre order DLC they would have complained loud enough. They did not and that is why it is still here.

I do not understand how Watch Dogs was a flop. It has very impressive sales. Whether the game was billed to be the greatest thing ever is irrelavent. Sales are the most important thing and Watch Dogs sold pretty well.

Yes but that was because of marketing, they took it off because of steam. FFS wb with batman origins said they were going to work on dlc and didnt fully fix the game.I dont get why people would pay money up front for a games thats not finished The reason it is bad is because content gets locked off. pre orders gurantee sales even if the game is a bag of shit and doesnt work atleast with steam refunds developers will think twice. and your point about why people dont complain about it, gamers are generally stupid and will fall to marketing, when games have good pre orders the devs get complacient.

No one is bitching, and no one is being a bitch by disagreeing with marketing tactics. You can continue to be oblivious if you'd like.

There are tons of reasons to wait before buying a game. Shit waiting for a complete/ultimate/whatever they call it almost seems like the better idea these days.

well idk what to tell you there, besides don't be such an indecisive consumer. I wouldn't take game reviews as gospel, and completely decide to get or pass on a game. I look at the calender and I know what games are "must have" and what can wait. there are 3 games this year that are must have 100% buys. Mkx, star wars battlefront, and like you said hit man. I can take it to the bank that I will enjoy these games and will get my moneys worth out of them. I was on the fence about elder scrolls online but I'm glad I got it too.

when someone says they are being "punished" for not being able to make a simple decision before a certain date that has been known for months, what do you call that?

Bitching? No. Like I said there are tons of reasons to wait to buy a game, not all of it is indecisiveness. Glad that your gamer knowledge allows you to decide what games to buy instantly.

But for myself outside of MK and maybe GTA I have to look into a video game, because I don't know much about it.

And even still.... When I saw the roster for MKX I was disappointed and questioned my decision. That's all relative, I just don't play the game as much as I had hoped I would.

I pre-ordered it because I love the franchise.

I did the story mode, everyone's arcade, unlocked the entire krypt and every attire... and now I don't play much because I don't really like playing online. I only play when my friends come over.

And I don't regret it... because I play tons of games so I'm not bored and I love the MK franchise and I will support it for as long as I can.

I'm glad they made the ai so tough on very hard, makes it fun to play offline. I like bouncing around characters gettin good with most of the roster

Yeah, and it sucks. Having a whole character locked away is too much. Its a shitty practice, and yet a lot of people defend it. Its surprising
