Seems like only Torr gets killed while Ferra always survives

They keep calling her little lady. I would love it if her ending reveals she's like 9 years old.

You're right, it's not fair. Ferra will never experience the amazing feeling of getting mutilated sad

Btw, it's Torr.

I think this is why the "Little Lady" takes no damage in Fatalities or during gameplay, she is just a young girl. Pretty sure Boon slipped at least once during the Gamespot live stream and called her a girl before correcting himself with Little lady.

Ehh.... I dunno exactly how young she is, but she definitely has breasts, so she has to be a teenager or adolescent at the very least. Primordial dwarfs tend to look and sound like children even into adulthood, so it's not impossible she might be fully-grown.

As for Ed accidentally calling her a "girl", all the interviewers seemed to be using that word to refer to her, so he probably just instinctually followed suit and called her a "girl" by mistake.

My guess is she's just a pygmy or a midget, but since she looks and sounds so much like a kid, they didn't want to risk getting all sorts of flak for being able to murder (someone who looks like) a child.

As for not being able to kill her, she writhes on the floor in pain, at least; they could have just had her run off when Torr lost.
Edit:

That's a kid. A young one at that. I'm thinking 5-6ish.

Discounting precocious puberty, do 5 or 6 year old girls have breasts?
And her awkward speech might just be the result of her being feral.
I believe Oni (and maybe some Tarkatans) talk in the same broken speech in Deception.
Edit 2: Ha! Vindicated.
TRMK: I saw that when a Fatality is done on Ferra/Torr that Ferra always walks away unscathed. Is it considered that Ferra would be handled uniquely in the fatalities?
Ed Boon: No. Technically Ferra is a small lady, not a child, an adult. But at the same time I think we'd feel bad beating up on her.

If we can have midget pr0n, we can have midget kombat. It's just equality.

I'm sure you realise the animation issue that would arise if they tried to fatality her as well. Just really hoping this unique tag-team style means Motaro isn't completely beyond the realms of possibility (if not now then in future games)

Well if I was a Kombatant and just defeated Ferra and Torr, I'd probably kill Torr, seems like the bigger threat.

It would be cool if at the end of there characters normal fatality they would approach an unconcious Ferra and just Curb stomp her. FDB.

I think Ferra is supposed to be at her mature stage of whatever creature / species she is, rather than being a little girl.

I'm going to sound like a jackass if she indeed does turn out a little person, but fuck it I'll say it anyway.

That's probably why they gave her white hair, to give her more of an illusion of some partial adulthood. I'm pretty convinced that she's about 12-13.

Well I don't think age should be a big factor for Ferra. They could easily write her as someone from a different realm and make her hundreds of years old, but like hundreds of years old are equal to a having a child-like mind.

Yeah, she's a child.

Also, the term "Little lady" is often used to describe a child in both a positive and negative way.

If they are acting mature for their age or (and I'm guilty of using this one) when telling off a small child who is misbehaving. "And what do you think you're up to , little lady?"

When Boon refers to her as a "little lady", I think that he's referring to her being a mischievous child whilst still not actually coming out and stating her age range , as to avoid the media frenzy that would (and most likely still will) ensue.

Realistically it would be just a ton of work to animate unique fatalities for every character just to make sure Ferra dies too. Kind of like the problem with NoobSmoke.

Technically... Torr is the muscle and she is the brain. So without the "body"(Torr), there isn't much she can do. Therefore is only logical to do a fatality on the "body" and not on the brain.

well there are two reasons for that.

1. Haven't we all figured out by now that she's some kind of psychotic little Outworld girl?
They aren't going to have horrible heinous acts preformed on a child.

2. The fatalities aren't preformed on her for the same reason we don't have Centaurs in the games anymore or the ability to preform fatalities on Goro.

My question is, why do you want to do a fatality on her? I understand she's rather annoying but do you really need to rip her in half and stuff? Slaughtering such a huge guy like Torr should be good enough, I don't think we should be wanting to kill a little girl (or at the very least, a vertically challenged girl with mental issues).

It's just unnerving to fight against a character that cannot be killed.

However, I have a feeling she'll be getting taller in future installments.

How much of the fighting is actually against her, though? The most she does is stab you in the face and get thrown into you by Torr. Half the time she's falling onto the ground and scampering back onto him. I understand she's the brains behind it but she's simply too small to be worth the trouble. If I was an MK fighter, I wouldn't be wasting my time murdering such a little person. Many of them are very respectable warriors and I doubt they'd get many cool points by ripping an imp's head off. Kicking her crazy ass in the face one good time should suffice. tongue

I believe Ferra should die right before the "finish him" sequence, leaving Torr to get messed up.

A 9 year old with boobs, NRS gone Japanese on us?

I saw it the other way. Because she's so little he called her "Little girl" out of habit, but then he corrected himself with "Little Lady" which she most probably is.
