example1 smoke shoots a missle at liu kang but liu ducks or dodges the missle causing the missle to come into contact with the wall. it blows a crater in the wall findind a stage weapon you can use on your opponnet.

example 2 striker throws a bomb at cyraxs feet which causes cyrax to fall into another fighting area. can be done with any character launches a bomb at oppponet.

most of the moves make the fighter react to these commands.
low kicks make you fall on your back, high punches make the model jump back, uppercutts and high kicks make juggle combos.

what if certain moves you could land on your wrists, arms, knees and head. it would create more falling animations for the mkteam to work with instead of the same animation. tell me what you think.

I’ve spoken of arena damage before in threads and these are things I’d like to see in MK.

I’d like projectiles and other thrown items and weapons to do damage to the surrounds, whether it be explosions blowing holes in them or ceilings and floor surfaces caving in. Examples of the ground breaking would be Sub-Zero freezing the surface and then the fighters eventually breaking the ice and falling through. Projectiles could br thrown at the ceiling to cause rocks and other things to fall down onto the opponent and the characters could jump up into another arena. You also have the gradual damage to structures in the arena around you so you could chip away at some things and cause them to collapse. Most of what I mention was posted here.

As for the falling animations, I agree that some variety in them would be nice. It’d also be nice to have a defensive technique where fighters can simply avoid a fall by rolling upon contact with the ground and jumping out up or just going into a cartwheel or flip to recover.

Falling into new positions would definetely make a big difference. Not to mentions that projectiles should play a MAJOR role into the whole arena. Like an explosion, it should leave a trace of the ashes after it explodes on the ground. If lets say you were fighting in an area with mahcines around them, have your opponent be smashed into it and have the machines deneted.
