Okay so the render "fan art" has given weight to the inclusion of Ermac in MKX he's also a fan favourite and I personally feel Ed's response to the render speaks volumes. (but that's another topic) My theory is that Ermac could be the new "Big Bad" and has taken on the souls of the "dead" fighters from MK9......... Discus!

Yeah I kinda feel it should be a female boss this go round and would absolutely dig it if Mileena was the "Big Bad" but the ideas of Ermac taking on the fallen from MK9 Souls interests me.
Reuniting Jerrod and Sindel and plus the evil souls he'll be taking on could corrupt him, Hell! Sindel could be that tipping point after her power rampage in MK9

I gotta say I'm not fond of the idea of characters from the regular roster returning as bosses (save for Raiden or maybe Liu Kang). Just doesn't feel right to me.

Though a female boss would be excellent.

Obviously he has the potential to be both good and bad maybe it would be a good chance to explore other souls bound to the being that is Ermac.
