I liked UMK3 but I think I know what your talking about. If you look closely at Mk1 and Mk2 all the gory bits and pieces where done individually, like if someone was cut in half, Part 3 comes along and all we get are a million bones going everywhere and a simple photo shopped decapitation. I think that's what pissed me off the most, look at someone's head flying off in part 2 then check it out in UMK3.

But they we're all still good...
Even you special forces... even you...

And I can't wait for MK9! yay!
