Does anyone hope Torrs not just some mindless lackey?

I do. I don't want Ferra to essentially be the only one with a character and personality. If Torr has little going for him as a character other than being Ferra's lackey, it makes him interchangeable. Like he could die, and Ferra would return in the next game with a new giant.

I'm not saying Torr needs to have the bestest story ever, I'm just personally hoping he has some motivations, some goals of his own. Like, pretending to be some dumb grunt, because he needs Ferra, for some reason.

Torr doesn't even speak so I am going to say he is dumb but not a bad character though. I like him being a hulking beast that can be controlled. That is the whole point of his character. It is what also makes him a pretty cool character in my opinion.

He's got all the making's of being a lacky. He is Hodor from GoT. Mindless but dangerous. In popular culture these hulking beasts with a child's IQ attach on to one person in this case it is Ferra. Pretty simple execution but also makes for a pretty cool character.

Your right, Torr could perish and Ferra could tame another dumb warrior but I would embrace that actually. On the other side of the coin.. Ferra could Die and Torr could go beserk in the next game making his fighting style chaotic and un-tamed, which also would be cool.

Torr seems to me just another of executors of Shao Kahn. Seems to me that he once acquired by Ferra (and I believe the market has Outworld function here) is just an extension of the character.

I'd actually like it better if he is just a dumb lackey. I would just find it stupid thats someone who actually has a mind for himself would let a little person ride around on his back. Also its pretty evident he is already a mindless lackey I mean he doesn't even speak for himself.

I don't see how Blaster being mentally challenged, has anything to do with Torr. If anything I see Torr as being almost feral, and only Ferra can "control" him.

Master/Blaster is pretty much the inspiration for Ferra/Torr.
