I dont want to buy the new systems but I am happy that MKX will be released for the previous consoles. I have a PS3.
Sad that it was delayed, but seeing the new gen versions I think that the game is amazing on them, very fluid.
It will be the same quality?

I imagine it wont be too different, it might not look as sharp in the graphics department, but I would expect it to be at least on par with PS3 Injustice.

I would imagine they wouldn't make the game choppy.
But in order to achieve the same "fluidity" they will have huge cuts in the particle effect department which is what makes the special abilities, explosions, blood, etc looks so good.
So the answer is yes it will still be fluid but it will be presented at a lower quality. EDIT: Also I am sure that costumes will look closer to mk9 and the fabric detail will go down. For clarity: mk9 had limited fabric differentiation where's mkx on next gen has loads of different fabrics for costumes and brings a more realistic variety to the characters.

No.
The new console version is running on different engine technology than the old console version.
The gore technology and graphics will be different on the old console version.

I hope that we will get something exclusive because of this delay...

No it's not. This game works on a heavily tweaked Unreal 3 engine which they also used for Injustice and MK9, just further tweaked.
They said so themselves, they didn't want to go to Unreal 4 engine because they had made all these tweaks to the Unreal 3 engine over all these years, they didn't just want to "throw it away". And because working with this Unreal 3 engine, they could still develop the game for PS3/X360 without too much hassle.
Then next/current gen are just going to have better physics, lighting, particle effects, slightly higher polygon count, more details in the materials (partially because of the better lighting), ... and such.
That "gore tech" isn't that special or "next gen" as you would think. Just look at the mobile version, it has the same "gore tech".
I'm in the same position, still on ps3. This is the only game/reason for wanting to upgrade and it's not financially viable right now. Next year with a Komplete edition, I'll buy a ps4/xbox1.
It seems they're wanting us to upgrade now with the ps3 version delayed, forcing our hand and selling consoles. It's understandable, but I can wait.
I know I'll be behind everyone and they'll "kick my ass"(US) online...no change there.
I reckon the ps3 version will be fine.

The only "downgraded" game I've played on PS3 was shadow of mordor.
Graphics were fine, obviously not as shiney as current gen but great and gameplay was untouched as far as I know.
The one thing was the loadtimes, good god the loadtimes! Pressing select to look at the map took 6-8 seconds and a further 6-8 seconds to close it.

It obviously won't be the same quality. The current Gen systems are much more powerful. I'm sure last gen will play just fine tho.

The nemesis system took HUGE hit.

That is what I really meant. I worded it alllll fucked up. Sorry, I wasn't trying to imply that it's running on UE4 or anything of the like.
The gore tech part has me questioning though because of this interview

the mobiles are less powerful than the PS3/360 yet they still got the gore tech down perfect. i'm sure it's more than doable on the PS3/360,hell,the fact that they moved up the release to June 2nd might mean that work on the last gen port is going better than expected.

It will only have 6 Stages instead of 12 and a practice Stage.
JK the graphics will be scaled down and the lighting effects won't be as great

I reckon that it will be a good port, just not as good visually. It won't be like playing MK3 on the Sega Master System! (Look it up but it will scar you for life!)

Well, Ed Boon (and other game developers) is known for overselling what they have done. It think with that interview, he's just aiming at the polygon count, which the other gens need to figure out where to decrease it and loose the smallest amount of detail. Now they have more places to cut (and/or blow out), so more of the insides needed to be modeled. So up goes the poly-count. They still have pre-defined spots where all the cuts and holes go. They now have more of them.

Well, I folded and bought a ps4, after looking at 2nd hand xb1's and not seeing any great saving or benefit and feeling tight.
Are you sure about the reduced content on ps3? Seems odd to me.
Anyway, pre-ordered with Goro. Better be good.

I wouldn't worry about the content. PS3 and PS4 both have bluray discs, so they can hold the same amount of data. No need to strip content from them.
