^This would normally be a valid point in any other franchise, but this is MK we're talking about. Ermac was a glitch, who is now one of the most beloved characters in the game. Skarlet was just a fan-made RUMOR about a similar glitch, who is now a character. The people you just named are ACTUAL characters in MK Lore. In fact, Tremor has a large enough fan-base these days, i'd actually be surprised if he is NOT in MKX. He was in MK9-Vita after all.
I would Love for all of these "throw-away" characters to be in the story-mode. Or even some kinda Challenge Tower or Character-Missions. We need "Expendable NPCs" to keep it fun and entertaining. Just like Trigon and Two-Face in Injustice, Ruutuu in MK9, and Monster in MKA. These guys don't need to be in the versus mode at all. Hydro's purpose of inclusion in MKL was simply to have his head kicked off! LoL.
