There are a few games where I will go digital out of convenience and the fact that I will never trade them in. I got the digital version for now but I'll probably get a disc eventually as well, most likely the complete version.

I went digital because I want the game as soon as possible and not a second later. Like I already have it pre loaded on my Xbone, I just have to wait for it to unlock at 9pm (since I'm in the pacific northwest). I don't have to leave my house to get in a big line of sticky neckbeards and then drive home to wait for the game to load on my Xbone. I see no advantages to having a hard copy unless you want to sell the game back for a tiny fraction of the price you already paid.

Why does there have to be an advantage though? Different strokes for different folks y'know?

Some people like the experience of a midnight release, since each location is doing something different I've seen some users say their locale is holding a cook out and hosting a tournament because the Manage of their Gamestop is super into fighting games.

I work from 11pm-7am so I won't be able to pick up my copy at midnight. Also why paint everyone that goes to a midnight release with the same brush as "oh they must all be neckbeards with hygiene issues" (Yes I know this was a joke and I agree that they all mostly smell bad and are generally fucking weirdo weeaboo ass ninja's) I just wanted to parody all the SJW fools carry on.

I am getting the Hard copy. I just prefer to have physical versions of games I care about.

I was almost swayed with the chance to be playing one game and then quickly switch over to MK for a quick fight here or there in the future when long winded games like the Witcher 3 come out..... but how hard is switching a disc out really ?

I'm a game collector so physical always. Although considering how I plan to play MKX for years like I did with MK9, I'm planning to wait for the Komplete edition to go digital.

exactly, when its just digital doesnt feel as special, can't wait to stand in line tomorrow and possibly do a mk tourney waiting

Me too, it means so much to me to be around that atmosphere, and to be able to look back on the game in my hands remembering good times.

Hard copy always unless of course it's an arcade style game that only can be downloaded.
