Did we ever figure out whose castle that is in the background of Krossroads?

Ah I think you're right. I see the chains now. Pretty cool that we see another arena in the distant background. I loved how they also did this in MK3 with Shao Kahn's fortress in the background of the Rooftop stage and the game's pit arena actually resided within that structure.

Yeah I always found that really cool too. IIRC you could see it from the street, the rooftop, and the bank as well, lol man I loved the stages in those games.

Krossroads is one of the few stages I enjoy in MKX, it also seems perfect for an uppercut fall stage fatality.

Yeah the Krossraods is standout for me, so is the Kove, the jungle, and the Dead Woods (Regular and infected). Those are probably my 4 favorite stages in this game at the moment.

In the concept arts they say that's Quan Chi's library.

I thought it was gonna be Shinnok's spire from Armageddin but its Quan Chis fortress.

The Krossroads reminds me of a netherrealm version of the pit. Sucks you can't uppercut someone into the river of lava.

yep, the other two I like is the Jungle and the woods, although the woods stage stage music sucks.

Yeah most of the music in this game is a little eh for me, I rarely even notice it to be honest lol

Yeah, if you unlock the concept art, (I can't remember if it's the one for the Krossroads or for Quan Chi's Fortress), but the notes for one of them mention that you can see Quan Chi's fortress in the background of the Krossroads.
