From a piece taken off the main page....
Project Lead Ed Boon has spent the last few days setting expectations for E3. Amongst his various clues, allusions & titbits -- the kibosh for some of the more obscure characters fans have requested. With speculation running wild, it's time to spin the wheel of broken dreams and reflect upon Ed's Kharacter Deadpool!
Does anyone think that this will be the actual Deadpool or Ed's own created Deadpool?
If it's going to be the actual Deadpool, this is going to be awesome! Many people might not want him, but, as it's said " Deadpool has be requested by fans".
I'm hyped....are you?

I'm against guest characters in all forms, but Deadpool falls on the "less mad" end of my scale for that.

Deadpool's Marvel. No chance with NRS hoping to make Injustice into a franchise. If we got a guest from comics, I'd expect it to be from Injustice. Lobo, Deathstroke, Zod, Joker, Superman. Anyone DC is okay with killing people

If it's certainly going to be the real Deadpool, of course I'm all in. He will be so badass and probably will be one of my favorites.

Well then it might be Ed's own character? How did he manage to use the name? It's copyrighted by Marvel. So, really he cannot use it even for his own created character.
On the other hand, Deadpool is a killer and would be perfect in MK.

The Deadpool article doesn't have anything to do with Deadpool the character though. A Deadpool is a bet on who dies first, its how Deadpool got his name. The article is just looking at tweets from EB regarding characters for any hints. Nothing to do with Deadpool the Marvel character

Ok, ok...who said anything about Deadpool the comic character? The article on the front page is just talking about characters Ed has basically nixed via Twitter - a "deadpool" if you will.
On the other hand I'd be ok with Deadpool being a guest character. He'd fit right in and hell he'd be like BFFs with freaking Havik.

Yes. The article written on the main page has nothing to do with Deadpool the Marvel character. The article talks about which characters Ed has nixed via Twitter and a list of other characters and the number of times they've been mentioned. It's also obviously a play on words in reference to the stage as well.
I think people are getting a little stir crazy after the reveal.
Wow. For shit's sake read the article. Deadpool refers to Ed essentially killing the possibilities of certain characters returning (Drahmin etc.). Just read the article...left to right, top to bottom. The letters form words, which in turn form sentences, that yields information, ideas. If you're seriously thinking this has anything to do with the Marvel character...I...I just don't know what to say.

You guys know there's also already an ARENA in MK called the Deadpool, right? MK2? The place with the acid? You knock a dude in and a weird voice goes "Aww-wah"? Any of this ringing a bell?
And that NRS's parent-company WB owns DC comics, which makes Marvel the COMPETITION, yes?
And that NRS's parent-company WB owns DC comics, which makes Marvel the COMPETITION, yes?
Why would they suddenly throw in a Marvel character when they clearly work with the DC universe?
Also:
I second this.

Lol.
I admit the title got me too with the "Mortal Kombat X Character Deadpool" Part. Why there is a whole new thread about the title, you got me there.

Do you guys not understand the phrase DEADPOOL? A pool of dead [beat] characters that are not (or HIGHLY unlikely) going to return.

Whatever it means, we will find out at E3. I just thought it could of been something good, apposed it relating to "dead beat" characters.
I don't think we'll see the Dead Pool stage as we had it in MK9. However, I love the stage in both MK2 and MK9. It's my favorite stage in all of MK.
So how can MK have dead beat characters? The ones that only been in one game shouldn't be dubbed as dead beats.
