nowadays most of the mk characters seem to be losing there spark. scorpion is not badass, shang tsung feels less powerfull, and etc.

when mk comes out with a real sequel make a complete new cast and make the villians actually evil.

good characters seem joky and out of place. this causes earthrealm plots pointless because earths fighters are not defending there realm just going on the attack instead of defense.

your thoughts.

YEAH. I totally agree. I had a little thought for a new game.

Each realm unites to finally end the tyranny of Shao Kahn. And yes, the good should get tougher, evil should get badder, and fights should be BIGGER AND BADDER.

Nowadays the Mk fanbase seems to be loosing it's grammar skills...

On note: I do not wholeheartedly agree. before the recent turn of events, some of the genuinely evil characters were pretty nasty. Shang managed to kill Kang by whatever means necessary, and hell, even defeated the majority of the heroes with Quan Chi - who is a whole world of pain in himself. Kahn is overplayed, and henchmen like Baraka always were simple gimmick goons.
The only probable asshole who emerged from that cauldron of stagnation was Mileena perhaps...

Simple: "the past" hasn't adequately progressed into "the future".

What I mean is, most of the character personalities have been redefined by other media. Something that MK capitalized on in the past.

For example: A "badass" character now days, is smart and calculating, has a network, is passionate about things, and is also a strong fighter. Then, all of those qualities about that character have different shades while maintaining the "badass" label.

MK has not re-constructed the infrastructure of it's characters to suit a modern audience. Even if a character is supposedly an imbecile(like King Kong or The Hulk) , the emotional connections to what that character is involved in (situations ect), is not lost.

Just as well, "things" in the game don't complement the characters. There is not anything that signifies invention in this way, so the games don't feel "new" or "refreshing".

That's what I think.
