Would you like for MKX to have a character customization similar to Killer Instinct's?

It doesn't really matter to me, im not against it, and I might use it if it was there, but im content with the characters just having a primary and alternate costume(s)

I'd be down with it as long as it was actually cool, well thought out accessories that made sense and wasn't just corny shit like Voltron Jago and Jazzercise Orchid. They're getting better in season 2 but man, some of that crap in season 1 was awful.

MK should have some sort of customization option. It has really lagged in this area for quite some time. And with the variations, we get slight changes to the characters. BUT you can only have them in that specific variation.
Say you want Cassie's Sunglasses, but you don't the like the Hollywood variation. Tough shit. You can't have them unless you use that variation.
Customization should give the player to design a third outfit. Because the primary and alt costumes are not enough in my opinion. Say you like one costume but not the other. Now you're stuck with the same damn look. At least with customization there could be other accessories/clothing options for players to choose from.

Wouldn't be a good idea in my opinion. NRS should just create a 2 extra outfits or have something like Injustice, where they have more than 2 outfits.
For example...
Cassie has her initial debuted outfit.
Cassie can have a green camo outfit with a cap. The outfit comes along with a grenade launcher, which replaces her gun.
She can attain Capri's and a tank top or a t-shirt.
Has shorts and a top like Sonya had in MK1 or 3.
That's 4 for her. I think it would be a better idea.

I don't see this happening in MKX due to the variations having their own unique character model changes.
Thanks to variations having stupid costume changes, this dream of mine (customizations) got shot to shit.
Hopefully MK11 will have it...

I was thinking the same thing, since the variations system uses costume and model modifications I'm afraid customization will be fairly limited.
Don't know how Killer Instinct did its customization but i think some subtle customizations would be nice.
For Example
Kano:
- Can change Kano's Eye Plate out. (Original, MK9 & his MK Legacy Faceplate)
- Different Knives
- Cybernetic Chess Piece
-Other various
Scorpion:
- Different Kunai (jagged blade or something)
- Flaming Skull Head
etc.

My thoughts too.
Makes me wonder if there's going to be DLC costumes and how would it work.

Why, why...why?
NRS likes what they create. Adding the customizing will ruin their hard work of their characters. That is why it shouldn't be added.
If MK fans want something, NRS can include the KAK mode. That way you can customize your own character.

Well there are ways to do it and still be unique... Like someone stated before me,, you can just have items unique to that character.
And KAK is creating a whole new character if I remember correctly.

Neither of you remember correctly... because there is no such thing as "KAK"

How would it ruin their hard work? They would design the customizations too. People should have more than 2 options when talking about character appearance. And adding an additional 2 costumes really doesn't solve that in my opinion. People these days like to personalize their characters.
I don't see how it would be harmful. But alas, it won't be in MKX anyway. Because variations have little cosmetic changes to their appearance.

No, MK is not KI as much as I want it to be. We should rely less on the leveling up model used in KI to unlock accessories; that model sounds annoying to me, to say the least. I want to unlock a range of things that are not necessarily cosmetic.
Let NRS focus on the matters at hand, such as the online portion of the game, balancing character variations, supplying more revamped classic backgrounds and making a well rounded consistent story with minimal plot holes.

So Armageddon didn't have a KAK?

It may well ruin the game as it is a lot of work for just one feature. I would expect several wardrobes filled with accessories and hats like TF2 to humanize the characters. Why have accessories at all, if it does not expand the character's personality?

How do you know there couldn't be accessories that might expand character's personalities? Who's to say they couldn't have some accessories that reveal more about characters? Are you under the assumption they would all be goofy or something?
In Tekken and KI I've seen various accessories and costume pieces that were very reflective of the character.

Well that's the thing.... No matter how much work NRS put into the gameplay, online features, netcode, story mode, and individual characters people will still find something to bitch send whine about... I mean who are they hurting by adding it in.
