I love the MKX roster, I don't really have any issues with it. The characters are awesome and play great. I mean sure I would of loved to have some of my favorites like Kabal, Smoke, Cyrax, and Shang Tsung but oh well I'm not going to whine about it because the current roster is exciting to me.

The roster IMO is great, and I can't wait for which secret characters there are.

I actually think the roster is the *right* mix of trilogy classics - but it would benefit enormously from 2-3 more characters revised from post-trilogy. In fact, it would go from semi-bland/safe to the best roster ever.

Also, jury is out on some of the new characters. Jacqui seems like an immediate dud and Takeda / FerraTorr could also be filler. Be unfortunate if they disappoint and those spots could have been used in a more considerate and creative way.

The roster could be better(wanted to see Fujin & Bo Rai Cho) but I'm content with what we got.

The people who don't have issues with the roster clearly have an issue with the ones who do, since they can't seem to shut up about them. "Bawww, why don't you like what I like? now my experience is ruined!1!1one"

I've never really commented on the roster yet but here it goes:

Before it seems like everyone was saying "Ermac better be in or I won't buy!" ... Well, Ermac is in and now people are really reaching with the demands of Bo Rai Cho and a few others.

Bo Rai Cho was a joke character. IMO, he needs to stay that guy who is a NPC that trains the fighters.

Sure I would like to have Smoke or Kabal, maybe Noob or Havik as long as they had proper ties to the story. I think you may still see one of them as DLC or playable

I'm not sold on the leaked roster as legit. I'm not sure they're going to go the Fire God Liu Kang route, but maybe ill eat my words. I think the new characters have a lot of potential, al though I think Ferra Torr will end up a one off while Erron Black is either revealed to be a previous character (such as Stryker) or a really cool reoccurring character in future games.

It blows my mind people can be so dissatisfied with a roster that doesn't include terrible characters from the 3D era. You think those characters are going to make this games sales? No, the Scorpions, Sub Zeros, Sonyas, Johnnie cages, Kung Laos etc are what attract you whether you no it or not. Not the Frosts, Darious, Kiras etc.

Certain 3d characters stand out and have drawn a following, Kenshi (in if the leak is true) and Quan Chi (confirmed).

The only character I was hoping to see that I haven't yet was/is Fujin. But, I guess there is always DLC. That is if the leak is true and he is not included on the playable roster. For all we know he could be the big bad.

So, that's my honest opinion and two pennies worth.

I'm liking the roster a lot so far. I don't mind the heavy focus on heroes right now because of them seemingly passing the torch and because I feel like NRS has more trouble coming up with interesting good guys as opposed to villains or neutral characters.

I'm not really upset about the lack of 3D era characters since the only post MK4 character I want is Nitara and I think we'll be getting Tanya and Reiko for DLC.

I always wanted tanya everyone said she had a 90 percent chance to be in. If she is not with shinnok what happened to her? Also the big name characters like kitana are already in the game before they showed sonya jax and Johnny. Also the family idea seems to be a little over done.

With so many teens on the roster, MKX has become something like twilight and shit.

NRS as in the team since MK9? Because I've always thought the heroes and villains were almost equally interesting since the first game, with the heroes only a bit more interesting.

I think the roster is decent. You forgot to include Erron Black In your initial list and considering we have seen him in story mode footage it's a very safe bet he is in.. I get they are adding the passing of the torch with the young generation but I have always found special forces boring and now it seems like there is a SF overload.. That aside though I think they have spent a lot of time coming up with new interesting characters.

I miss my favorite Character Smoke though. Not only did they finally make him human again after waiting 10+ years, but they gave him awesome moves, he was very popular in MK9 and they set him up with an awesome story for this game, so I'm surprised he's not included.. Hopefully DLC!

The only thing the roster is missing is a "holy shit that's awesome!" Unexpected character. They probably thought Goro would do that for people but he's pretty underwhelming to me. Motaro would have given me that WOW unexpected factor the roster is missing.

Still, the roster is Better than DA and Deception.
