Couple of gameplay things I got from the trailer (may be just in my head)

The trailer, although CGI, showed Scorpion and Sub-Zero from an angle that represents gameplay.

1. Wake up game

When Sub-Zero knocked Scorpion down, Scorpion did a similar movement like characters do in Tekken. May be we will get wake-up game where a character can perform different commands/attacks when he gets up from a knocked down state.

2.Reversals

Also like in Tekken you see both characters reverse the attacks of their opponent. May be something new in the game engine.

3. Super moves

The way Sub-Zero powered up his Ice Blast looked similar to Street Fighters way of performing a super move. Or may be it's just the way the enhanced moves work now.

4. Theory on the multiple versions of fighters.

I think the multiple versions of fighters is basically NRS saying you will now be able to choose from 2 or more X-Ray/Super moves that you can spend your meter on just like in Street Fighter games where you select 1 of 2 Ultimate Combos, which actually affects your strategy quite a bit.

Another way that could work is that you decide what your meter slot does. For example your 1 meter slot can have an enhanced move or wake up attack. 2nd slot can have a breaker or a reversal. 3rd meter slot can have X-Ray or Super Move.

The reason for this theory is that I don't believe that NRS will make more than that. MK community like to take a sentence of the devs and spin it to a ridiculous levels, and later they are disappointed by that. (Super Unlockables anyone?)

I thought I was the only one who noticed this, but Sub-Zero really looks like he's using some kind of Super Move from Injustice or SF. The gameplay stops when he's using it and the screen focuses on him. When gameplay continues, Scorpion simply dodges his iceball by jumping, therefore we don't see if it's an enhanced move or a super move.
Both X-Rays and "Super Moves" together wouldn't make sense, perhaps we'll choose which one do we want to use?
