Sub-Zero in MK2. He easily had the most interesting story therefore making him the logical protagonist. What can I say? As a child I did my research before jumping into Kombat.

First character I played was in the local video stores arcades and it was Scorpion on MK1, my brother always went Sub Zero
I found raiden probebly the easiest to use at that age at the time and eventually started using him more than Scorpion

MK1: Kano was the first I chose in arcades. I always liked the red eye. And when I saw his cannonball and knife throwing in demo mode I knew that was who I wanted to try first. I was 9 years old when mk1 dropped. I'm 30 now so. Long time and great memories.

Kano on a Arcade in Spain. Then i had MK1 for Amiga and Mega Drive. There it was Scorpion, he was my fav back then till Baraka kicked him from the throne in MK2
MK1 Sub-Zero in the arcades. My older brother told me about this crazy game where you get a change to kill your apponent at the end of the fight. Had to check it out, and was hooked.
Got the SNES port of MK1 and again started with Subby. I was not crazy about the fatality change for the SNES.
My MK tradition over the next 20+ years is to always start with Sub-Zero. He's familiar...like an old baseball mitt haha. I don't usually main him, but he's always my 1st choice.

I remember playing MK1, for the first time, in my brother's bedroom with my neighbor and we were obsessed with getting to the pit stage because that was the only fatality we knew how to do at the time (I was currently obsessed with Mario and didn't know how to look up moves/fatalities until later/Gameshark!). My first character was Johnny Cage, who will always be my first choice when I play a new game.
The first REAL fatality I've ever performed was at the Showplace 12's arcade, when MK4 was first introduced. I was playing with Reptile and won, but my friend's mom (who was supervising me), was like "OK, you won, let's go, the movie's starting." And I just pressed all the hit buttons at once, and flung the joystick upwards and before you know it, Reptile was eating Tanya's face off! My friend's mom was mortified (poor Patty). And ever since, I became obsessed with MK. This is also my first post in .... a long time.
Great form, thanks for letting me share!

The days are long, the wait is grueling, but patience is always rewarded.
The first character I can remember playing was Scorpion back in UMK3. Once I heard "GET OVER HERE" he was my favorite.
First game I did a Fatality in was MKT. With the help of the One Button Finishers that is.

The original MK. Sonya's Kiss of Death.
I remember having a shouting match with my older half-brother about the input for it. He insisted it was Back, Back, Forward, Forward, Start (Sega Genesis, mind you). I kept trying to tell him that it was Forward, Forward, Back, Back, Start. I actually demonstrated it to him and he had a tantrum.
And guess which one of us is now a convicted felon...

I'm not sure what my first fatality was. I doubt I did any in MK1-3 when I played them growing up, so it was probably in MK4. Sub Zero's spine rip, Quan's leg beat, or Reptile's face chew come to mind.

Sub-Zero's spine rip, on an MK1 machine in a tiny arcade down the block from my friend's house.
