So I've been thinking a lot about the story of MK X today. Our two dead buddies are back and then there's the comics. It's safe to say a people have a lot of questions. Anyways, today I was remembering that bit about online factions. You guys probably know all about it so I wont go into detail about it but you pick one of five factions that are from the game.

I was reading somewhere that the author of the comics said he wanted it to be like Game of Thrones. Then I got thinking about these factions and how that actually makes perfect sense. Now, I'm not saying turn MK into a GOT knockoff but anything other than black and white good vs evil would be a welcome change. My little theory, or at least what I'm hoping for is the story is about a conflict between all five of these factions.

For example, who says the White Lotus society and The U.S. Special forces have the exact same values? Sure both of them are considered the good guys but it would be great if they didn't actually side with each other. I think it's time to move past this G.I. Joe vision of the special forces and actually show a shadier side to them. Maybe they want to invade Outworld?

Same goes for the bad guys. The Black Dragon are your stereotypical "get money" bad guys where as The Brother Hood of Shadow actually have some traditions and honor.... As for the Lin Kuei, I have no idea if they will be lead by Sektor or Subby.

It would be cool if we got something more complex than good vs evil for once. I think the comic and online factions may be hinting at that... I might just be getting my hopes up though lol
