Inferno is a gr8t name plus his storyline is cool

I personally think that Midway shpuld leave codenames for characters (Inferno,lol) and focus more on the oriental part of the game. Good exam-ple for this is MKDA and MKD (Bo' Rai Cho-altough it comes from boracho, spanish for drunk, it has a good oriental sound, Li Mei, Dairou, Hotaru) where they used japanese names mixed with closer asian names or words (Ashrah).

But no more Sub-Zeros, Cyrax's or Sektors or things like flare, ...)

It all depends on the kind of character in order to make up a name for either him or her.

Let's play a game, someone think up of a render of a character but do not mention a name, and when so we will all think of a name for that one. Hell if Midway looks at this site then we could give them good ideas.

what about Roxie

OMG I made up a new earth realm female character about a month back, and that was her name- Roxie. I mentioned it to couple of people including tgrant, and he didnt like it much as a name for an MK character but I like it. The name on everybodies lips is gonna be: Roxie. Lol.

I also came up with stories for a female character called Peiran, she was the Godess of Nature.

Peiran sounds cool

How about Zayth?

Sounds like say but with a Z.

Lol there are lots of characters whose names begin with S and K so we should have new characters, who names start with a letter which noone elses starts with.

I, P, U, V, W, X, Y, Z. There are no characters who names start with those letter lol. (Not that it matters what letter their name starts with, as long as it suits them. But would be kewl.)

I like the name Reddik...

Inferno = Blaze (from MKDA).
He never had an 'official' name, Inferno was just a name given to him by the fans, but when the time came to actually use the character in a game they went with Blaze (I've heard that this was due to some legal issue involving another fictional character called Inferno, but i'm not sure if that's true or not).

I agree with Grizzle on this one (I find myself doing that alot). I think the character name is alot easy to come up with after the character has been built. Still, here are some of my suggestions:

Wraith (I thought it'd be cool to have another character from the Brotherhood of the Shadow, and I thought this would be a cool name for him or her).

Laurelai (Sounds kinda like a goddess name)

Exeter (A name from Henry V, but I've always thought it was cool)

Hasaan (I've always wanted to see a Middle Eastern fighter in MK, we seem to have the U.S, Asia and the other realms covered)

Isis (Could be an Egyptian character perhaps)

Paraeca (pronounced Pa Ray Ka)

Urutsk (It has somewhat of a Russian sound to it that I dig)

Vo Binh Dihn (It's a fighting style, but it still sounds cool as a name to me)

A betrayed man who was once a ninja for the Lin Kuei (SUB ZERO's tribe) frozen for 6 years he finaly defrosted with subzero like powers but only in an amature uncontrolled way that is more powerful and life styles like Kobra...... sad thing is he never was betrayed his uncontroled powers that he didnt even knew he had overwhelmed himself and without even knowing he froze himself....
