I'm still holding out on my pre-order because i want the Kollectors Edition but every day it's seeming more and more unlikely

I want to say we'll get an announcement for a Kollector's Edition next month. At least that's what I'm hoping for. With Kung Lao's reveal in GameMaster, the comics, the gameplay trailer and Kitana's reveal with it, I doubt we'll get any more MKX info this month. But hey, I could be wrong. I'd love to see information on a collectors edition this month.

You can always pre order the game than update your pre order to the KE when it's announced at least that's my plan.

I'm very surprise they haven't announce a Kollectors Edition yet. We are 3 months away from the game being release. I remember back when in December of 2010 they announced the Kollectors Edition for MK9. It will be disappointing if there isn't one for MKX. I can't imagine that. Hopefully this month or next month something will come up.

I usually buy kollector's edition as well. part of the reason being is that I used to have the online video game store a while back(though it didn't turn out that well), and the extras that comes with it was usually worth the money.

Times and things has changed btw. When it comes to special/kollector's edition, you can not just throw in anything as extra bonus for buying kollectors edition to your customer anymore. In my honest opinion, Duke Nukem Forever Collector's edition is guilty as a start of the lame extras that most of them wind up in a garbage that started to change things up.(I mean, fake casino chips, bunch of postcards, a sticker, el cheapo looking dice, and a lame plastic sculpture, and all that crap, you never going to use it), and many people won't open their wallet these days for just a fancy metal case and spend extra for it, The special edition MUST be special, that contains something that worths the extra money.

For MKX, I would only buy kollector's edition if it includes, not only the special, metal casing, but a whole lot of goodies, either on the second cd, or as a package itself, or as a bonus DLC. Something like Extra special moves for EVERY character that is exclusive to that version by providing the code for it on the receipt or the MK9 style code card, ability to DELETE, or REMOVE the story mode(I know, call me arrogant, but just as an example), A full sized kharacter poster(Tanya.... ahem), MKX miniature coin bank(like they did for SF X Tekken special edition), Full featured comic, or vice versa.

To me, Goro only, I know, he is only for the pre-order, isn't good enough, and if the kollector's edition isn't worth extra money, I would rather save that and get the regular version. MK9 Kollector's edition was ok, but MK VS DC kollectors edition was just BLEH....So.... I usually bought kollectors edition, but the above is saying a lot, from the kollector's edition buyer like myself.

That's a slippery slope to head down because then you're gating content behind a money wall and you just end up alienating fans, I know you were just using it as an example though I'm not sure if that's how you really feel? I wouldn't want NRS to end up alienating the fanbase because of a price difference. I'm not one to buy Collector's Editions often the last two that I bought was Elder Scrolls Online & Halo 3. Yeah I think i'm due for CE and I hope MKX can deliver it. Plus I grew up on MK so i've had the privileging of playing every single main entry in the series, I'm super nostalgic for MK and MKX is no different. If not I can always hold out until the Complete Edition? but who the heck wants to be patient anymore we've waited long enough!

Yeah I still haven't pre-ordered yet. Goro is enough for me to want to and I know I can upgrade the pre-order to KE. But why waste a trip to Gamestop? I'd just rather know what all is included before hand. Then there's the possibility of store exclusives....

I've got a feeling a paperback copy of the comics will be part of the KE. Just so the more casual players won't be clueless as to wtf is going on in the game's story. I'd also gladly take a Goro or Kotal Kahn statue.

As I said, I was only doing it as a 'SAMPLE'. If Goro is the only option, and if for any chance, the KE for MKX goes stale in a route like Duke Nukem Forever did, it's better to not spend extra for it. That was my point. Nothing more, nothing less.

Hopefully the kollectors edition won't be about scorpion and subzero again id like to see something kooler :)

It's looking less and less likely something good will be announced. Every other wb type game coming out around that time has been announced, yet mkx is only three months away and still nothing. I'm feeling they might not have been happy with the return they got on mk9's and might be pensive about it. Just my take...but I just want an artbook.

I've sent Ed Boon multiple tweets about it but no response yet so i'm still hopeful they will announce it very soon we should just spam Boon and others until we get some kind of answer even if it's just "Wait and see"

I bought MK9 Ce. Bookers are cool but I'd love a statue maybe but not of scorpion or Subzero. I love scorpion obviously but I want something else hell q statue of Cassie Cage would be welcome. Just like the toys I want more then scorp sub and raiden. I'd take everyone in, the game if they would actually go tbrough, with it unlike MK9 figures

Hhhhhhmmmmm. Pre order now and play as Goro - OR - wait for a Kollector Edition, and possibly play as a much stronger Onaga.

GAME UK has a "Goro Edition" available for preorder which is just the normal game with Goro DLC.
I'm assuming that's all we are getting special edition-wise, in the UK at least.
I'd have liked a fancy box with an art book or Steelbook or some kind of physical extra but beggars can't be choosers I guess.

Honestly their should be. There has been a CE Edition for many of the recent games, MK9, MKvDC, MKA all had collectors editions. MKX is also a milestone game in the franchise making it to a 10th main entry. That alone is reason enough for the MK team to do something special.

Another reason is because they are doing a clean slate with many new characters to balance out some old favourites. They need to do something memorable.

A kollector edition was leaked by a polish VG site some months ago. That was the first time comics were mentioned too.

Wow, $124 for the 10 inch sculpture and comic is rather too much... depending how good this sculpture is(but over $100.... is stretching a bit)

Can't be right. The mk arcade stick was 150. Curious about the in-game stuff though.
