Character specific intros confirm one thing

I'm surprised nobody has talked about this. NRS obviously put a lot of effort into these character specific intros. I mean there are apparently a few for each character, so it obviously took a lot of time.

Many new characters have been introduced, but these intros should at least have people speculating what classic rivalries we will be seeing. We got just a little taste with Scorpion and Sub-Zero. What other rivalries do you think will be explored in MKX.

Tanya I believe will be confirmed. That's why I feel Jade may have a chance at the roster.

After the last game I would say Raiden and Kang will be in as well.

Another person I'm expecting? Noob Saibot. Now, there's a chance this Sub-Zero is Noob unfortunately. However, if this Sub-Zero is not Bi-Han then the dialogue with both Scorpion and Sub-Zero would be amazing.

So, speculate. What roster choices do you think they will make in regards to these intros?

Jade's rivalry with Tanya didn't really have a logical reason beyond "I'm captain of the guard, I hunt criminals" or something like that. When Tanya was introduced in MK4, her beef was just jealousy of Kitana.
But with Sindel, Kitana, and Jade all dead and Edenia not free from Outworld...really, IF she were even a character in this game, who's opposing her from doing the freeing herself and putting herself in charge? Rain?

Kind of hard since I can only speculate a few characters that I think will be in... but I'm feeling a Sektor/Sub-Zero one perhaps? If Sektor makes the cut.

If Liu Kang comes back somehow, I think a Liu/Raiden intro would be pretty awesome.

Also gets me thinking what will happen if you pick JC or Sonya against each other or against Cassie? Would be pretty cool.

Just speculation, but if Ermac's ending comes true then possibly ermac?

I could see Sub-Zero/Sektor.

I don't want Kano in the game. I just don't. He bores me. On that note though, a possible interaction with Sonya or even Cassie could be cool.

SHang Tsung/Kenshi could be cool.

Hell, Shang and a lot of characters could be cool. Who knows what the fuck happened to him though.

A good one from the later games would be Havik and Hotaru.

*Sigh* I guess Ermac is a possibility.

I just don't want to entertain it because I wouldn't like it. I want Ermac to be Ermac. The very thing that makes him cool is he's a legion of minds and calls himself "we" and talks with an echo. I'd be cool with Jerrod being ONE of those voices, and OCCASIONALLY that personality coming to the fore at a time when it'd be emotionally appropriate like if he were interacting with Sindel or Kitana...but for him to become that all the time like "Oh, Jerrod's back for good now" and be all about Edenia and start acting like the king never died or changed into a different character...that would be a really poor way to use such an otherwise imaginative and unique character.

I agree. What makes Ermac cool is that he is this being made of souls. Making him have one person as the enforcer kind of defeats that purpose. Maybe they could mold it in a way that it is actually good.lol.

Like Ermac just feels he is entitled to the throne now, but doesn't mention Jerrod so much that it kills his character. Just have him tell Tanya "Bitch this is our throne".lol

I didn't want Reptile to return, but, come to think of it they can make him better as a Lizard Dinosaur. For one of his designs, he can be clotheless.

Rivalry: Ermac/Raiden or Fujin/Liu Kang ( if Liu was to be on the evil side).

I think it confirms Reptile is not in. Since they decided that he can't speak in MK9 it would surprise me if they changed that right away in MKX. So if he still doesnt speak what would they do with his intros? Just have him growl?
