I hate seeing almost every character being the same height and size. Netherrealm Studios should use the Marvel vs. Capcom series as an example. Look at how Hulk and Juggernaut stand apart from the rest of the characters.
It's stupid to see Shao Kahn and Raiden as tall as Liu Kang. Kahn should be huge as well as Jax, Raiden should be tall, Liu Kang skinny, Goro and Kintaro huge, etc.

In MK(2011) you can clearly see how different some characters look compared to each other.
Sheeva is clearly the highest. Kintaro and Goro are way higher than average, they look the same as other characters just because they lean forward in their fight stance.
Almost all characters have different body-types so I really don't know why you're complaining about it.
And Marvel vs Capcom 3 is the WORST example of it, considering that tiny little fighters with huge heads are pitted against normal looking body models.
People want to see characters 100% BIGGER. Unrealated we need Shinnok, Reiko, and Aqua back. We need to get somebody to get a letter to Ed Boon and the others at midwaysmilesadwinkgrinconfusedwowfurioustonguesleepglasses

I know where you're coming from, and I agree. Jax is supposed to be 6'8" and Raiden is supposed to be 7'0" yet they are more or less the same height as someone like Kitana, who is 5'9". It's just one of those little things that needs to be worked on.

it be cool if they did different character sizes. even if it was something along the lines of the wwe games or even the ufc games. the character models are very realistic in height, weight, reach, and etc.

I completely agree also. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is a really good comparison as well as Tekken - with characters like Jinpachi and Ganryu. I don't think it should be drastic changes in height but it should be adjusted to showcase the differences between the characters.

Who the hell is Aqua? And I hope you know that Midway no longer exists unless you're talking about Midway Airlines.

It wouldn't hurt to have some distinguish height. I remember getting the strategy guide for Deadly Alliance and it had all of the character's heights in there. Laughed at it since no character is different with the exception of Moloch.

It wouldn't hurt to have some height differences. Heck, maybe even weight changes too. Not every woman needs to be skinny and not every guy needs to be buff.

Well there's obviously a big difference between the monster characters (Goro, kintaro and Sheeva) than all the others. But I think it's all the other characters that need some individualism as far as size and shape goes. Have you ever looked at Liu Kang and Johnny Cage at the same time. Just give Liu Kang a lighter skin tone, a haircut, and some different clothes and you've got Johnny Cage. You'd see the same thing comparing Sonya and Kitana. There's barely any differences in the character models.

All the male characters are ripped to the point that it's almost cartoony and all the females are twig-thin (maybe that was NRS's intention but I don't really support it). I'd rather see these "normal" human characters be as different from one-another as possible, just not to the point that they look cartoony.

For example, Liu Kang, who I've always pictured as a nimble, light-on-his-feet character similar to Bruce Lee (who he was inspired by); in MK9 he looks more like Arnold Schwarzenegger pretending to be Bruce Lee. Liu Kang should probably be just slightly bigger than Sonya's model... Come to think of it, I think a lot of the male characters should be a little smaller-framed because the way they tower over all the female characters except Seeva looks kind of awkward in-game. I know men are generally bigger, but I think it's too much in MK9. Aside from the character sizes, I think NRS should focus on other, smaller features such as muscle mass and maybe even body fat levels (We'll see if Bo Rai Cho is in the next game), as well as certain other features. I see a little bit of this in MK9, but I think if it can be done a little more in the future.

Half of the problem is too many characters sharing a body-type. i.e. yes, there's no reason at all Liu Kang should be as thick as he is, he should be tiny but ripped as hell, like Bruce Lee. And the females aside from Sheeva all literally share the same body model, that's pretty lame.

The OTHER half of the problem is the god damned fighting stances. Kahn's model IS much taller than the regular characters, but you wouldn't know it at a glance because everyone is hunched the fuck over, this has been a problem since Deadly Alliance and they still haven't stopped that shit.
And while we're on the subject of shared bodytype resources, if they're going to keep the X-Ray mechanic, they better spend more time making different skeletons. Jax needs to not have bones inside his cyborg arms if the game is gonna show us his real arms were blown off, for example, and I want the inside of the cyberninjas to look like THIS, not just a normal human skeleton with some glowing blue wires in it:
That's excactly my point!
