Agreed. I wish they would've stuck with an idea that was somewhere between his MK2 look and his MK4 ninja costume look. I never liked the idea of him going full on into a reptillian form. Plus he just looked awful in MK:DA and it was only made worse by the silly fighting styles he had (crab? really?)

But no, the idea that the main poster is coming from is a good one. Anything to add a bit more realism to the fighting is okay by me. Well, aside from removing the special moves of course...

The crab style looked really silly, but I actually liked his MKDA look, at least the did something new with him, something creative rather than putting him in sub-zero's costume and painting him green. The head bandages from Shaolin Monks were okay, but that's already Ermac's style, seems like they're running out of ideas.

Back on topic, even if they don't do anything character specific like Mileena's mask falling off, just do torn clothes and cracked armor like they do in Soul Calibur.

I do agree that character changes as such stated would be better than bruising and cuts. Just as long as the appropriate changes are made to certain characters...although its a good idea I really can't see it happening but if it does awesome.

Hopefully it is somehow included in the finished product of MK9.

It should be... There's no way to somehow feature it in MK vs. DC and not feature it at all in the next game... There would be no excuse for it not to show up.

i agree if it was possible to do in MK vd DC then theres no excuse to not have it in MK9 and i want full on realism with the damage like they did with MK vs DC each character with specific damage as you mentioned,

mileena with her mask coming off, lol shes practically naked with the way she dresses so most likely she would have cuts and bruises though wouldn't mind some torn clothing

reptile his new look i liked and made sense with him turning ore reptilian like in MK4 like the story said because hes away from his people hes de-volving back to his primal state and nitara finding out his people were an evolving race turning almost human like.

I love this idea. To add on to it, Shao Khan should loose his helmet like he did in mksm and Johnny Cage should loose his shades which on top of that can be crushed if stepped on.

yup i always wanted shang to hav that mk sholin monk old man look durin gameplay, he looks more evil that way. I also always wanted hair to get sliced off according 2 how it got sliced 4 all chars, samething with clothin.
I had an idea b4 that during gameplay instead of healthbars jus make the char look more pale and weaker by losing blood.
