Cassie and Jacquis ages
I have a problem with how the comic presented the timeline, regarding the kids' ages that I think needs to be addressed. The comic synopsis states it's supposed to take place 15 years after the events of MK9 right? Also Johnny and Sonya are presumed to be married one year after MK9 right? So if 15 years passed, Cassie would be 15 years old, but the problem is that she and Jacqui look a little older around 17 or 18 in the comics. Also, allowing a pair of 15-year old girls into an illegal death battle tournament? One has to be stupid to let that fly, but they looked older than that so they passed easily. However that would push back Johnny and Sonya's marriage back a few years back into the MK9 timeline which is NOT possible, considering they never HAD a relationship in the MK9 timeline (or they never bothered to present it).
Also I'm sure that both girls in the MKX story mode look like they're in their early 20's. I really don't get this "teenager adventure" rumor crap surrounding the new characters. They seem to be old enough not to rely on their parents for any help.
What are your takes on it?

Who said Johnny ans Sonya ever got married? They could have just had sex and never actually had a relationship.

Sex IS a relationship.
Just not a committed one, lol.

Probably assumed because of the last name Cage
Just means he signed the birth certificate tbh. Although yeah I assume they were married but the former is more interesting. Cassie and Jacqui both seem young in the game so yeah I'm a little confused about the timeline as wellProbably assumed because of the last name Cage

Whats to be confused about???
They tell you point blank cassie is around 15 in the comic cause it's 15 since mk9. The tale end of the game ie 25 years later which majority of the new trailer shows, they are around 25 yrs old. It's not that confusing

You can't judge characters ages in comics or video games by their appearances. They're not real people, and don't have realistic appearances.
Like many teenage comic characters, Jacqui and Cassie have 'adult' bodies (large breasts etc) because that's how female comic characters are drawn. And you said it yourself, it's an ILLEGAL death match. You really think they'd have any qualms about involving fifteen year olds? THAT"S when their morals step in?
In the game they're around 25 according to the timeline.
It all fits perfectly fine. Sonya just got pregnant shortly after MK9.
(Side note, does anyone want to see pregnant Sonya? Iunno why, but that'd be fun to see. Especially with Johnny Cage banter)
