Bloodrayne for Mortal Kombat
Bloodrayne for Mortal Kombat
I wrote a blog and want to share my thought about making Bloodrayne as guest character for Mortal Kombat ,probably not in Mortal Kombat X but i hope some of other people can agree with me ,here is what i thought and i hope people can take a little some time to read it.

Funny story, the first time I ever heard about Bloodrayne was actually in these forums back before the first one was released.
I did enjoy both games and Rayne's dialogues are hilarious.
I've also posted a long time ago that I wished that Bloodrayne and Ivy of Soulcalibur would appear in MK but I guess it's just wishful thinking on my part.
But truth be told I'd rather have Bloodrayne 3 more than anything.

EXACTLY~if Rayne can make an appearance in Mortal Kombat it a good way to reintroduce her to other video game fans ,Majesco still have trouble make a Bloodrayne 3 game and this could be the key to make it happen...
I wasn't a fan of a nightmare on elm street before but since i know he is going to be Mortal Kombat ,i start watched most of the films and also Friday the 13th series and Evil Dead as well.

She's definitely got a look that would be fitting for MK, but I don't see it happening. Considering that Nitara does exist and as a result, it's been established that the vampires in MK have bat wings, there's already that inconsistency. And besides, for better or for worse, her lasting power in video game history has not stood the test of time. When you start out with big 3D adventure games and then your big "new generation comeback" is a 2D indie game, that's how you know you lost popularity.
Oh i'm not saying change her oringal ,beside Nitara is basicly from Outworld---an Outworld Vampire while Rayne is an Earthrealm Dhampir ,plus since Rayne took an intrest to purge vampires ,it won't be suprise if she want to genocide Outworld vampire as well.
I do agree making Bloodrayne an anime looks 2D side-scrolling game is not the best thing came out from their mind ,Trminal Reality try to change that but did not make it before their defunct ,Rayne is their legacy now and fan like me sure want to keep her alive ,she is not the first video game character try to crawl out from a grave and when she back i bet it will be a blast.

Well, there's nothing to say that the series won't be picked up again by a bigger developer and revived bigger and better, like Tomb Raider was, for example. If/when something like that happens and Bloodrayne gets some new spotlight, (and not the negative kind for being a crappy Owe Boll movie), there's a lot more of a chance NRS would want her as a guest character like they did with Kratos.
Ya like Killer Instinct for another example ,right now Majesco Entertainment still hold the franchise though so i bet they still want to make another Bloodrayne but just can't somehow ,partnership with Warner Bros might be the turning point ,if Warner Bros find it interest i mean.

Such a shame, an awesome character in a franchise with so much potential...
An MK appearance could help bring her back...if WB sees potential in her like they did in Boon & Co. many moons ago

That's actually a good point. If WB did decide to buy out the franchise, and started working on a new game, then yeah, they'd be a lot more likely to pressure NRS into putting her as a guest character into an MK game, just for cross promotion.

Well as much as much I don't dig the whole "guest characters" thing, if I had to pick anyone, it would be her.
She embodies the whole MK vibe.

Majesco Entertainment's finest moment was back at 2004 just around when Bloodrayne first game was release ,they haven't recover to that status for a decade now (according to finance),but got to give them some credit they still hold togethere and did not go down...but it's truth if we ever want Rayne back ,she's going to need some outside help.
I think it is possible EA or WB will consider buy the franchise (and i damn hope it won't be a Japanese company like Square Enix try this ,Rayne is not fit for anime from we learn for the third game) ,and probably the whole Majesco Entertainment ,if thing went really that bad for them.

I'm not exactly familar with Legacy of Kain series but i do know it is from Eidos and Crystal Dynamics...but since Crystal Dynamics got their hand full with Tomb Raider stuff i'm not sure if they got time...or the money to make another Legacy of Kain game or discuss their character as guest for Mortal Kombat...
And the other guy...please don't spam.

Kain, would be an interesting choice, but I'd pick Rayne any day. Plus her pre-fight dialogues would be hilarious

While I worship Simon Templeman and the voice actinc cast along with the head writers as gods of video gaming, I would rather not.
Their stories have come full circle. It might work, but I do not think MK would be a good mediium for that comeback.
Damn, I would love to see MK done in faux-Shakespearean dialogues.
Okay setup a new page for this idea ,if anyone interesting about it please consider like this page
