I think when Nitara looks at Skarlet and when Shang looks at Ermac they just see food.

In all serialness, with Kahn dead what will happen to his more mindless enforcers Skarlet and Ermac..would his grip release on them with his death or does he maintain a hold on them even in death.

I heard briefly at one point in a MK dialogue there was plans to do a proper male version of Nitara from Vaeternas (MKX ?) . I'm sceptical this was the customized Kahil Grigesh, but the board had time issues and the character never saw the light of day. On a different note, the blood element is utilized in distinct ways with Skarlet and Nitara. Nitara being a true nocturnal vampire, a corpse where the soul refused to leave the body, while Skarlet's brawn enhances from absorbing a victims blood.

I think sustenance is a better fit.

But then Skarlet isn't just blood in a body. She's living moving blood it seems.

Who's to say Skarlet wouldn't burst out of Nitara's stomach if she tried to drink her?

I think Nitara will drink Skarlet.



EDIT: Lolz and I always wondered why there wasn't some kind of rivalry or friction between Ermac and Shang. Wouldn't Shang get like a HUGE power boost if he got all the souls that make up Ermac? Does it bother Ermac that Shang has a fuckin soul tornado? Also its lame they made Skarlet's goal to take out Quan Chi, she has to wait in a pretty big line for that shit and her reason is boring.

Isn't Skarlet basically useless now that Kahn isn't around anymore? Surely, you can have it where Quan Chi now takes control of her but that gets annoyingly repetitive to have characters who are enslaved to be enslaved again by another character.

I'd rather see Nitara do her own thing and whatever they want to do with Skarlet.

Didn't Ermac release from Kahns grip after MK3, and feel guilt for the atrocities he commited under his control and thus turn good...or something? I guess they could go down that route again with both Ermac and Skarlet could do that.

The whole Jerrod storyline could become interesting. I think its more the Reptiles/Barakas of MK that go from master to master, they're not mindless as such but seem born to serve.

Yeah but I prefer seeing her not suddenly turn good, the same goes with Ermac, if they're written in a way where they can take control of themselves.

And I really didn't care for Ermac's arcade ending. I just don't see how Jerrod's soul was able to conquer when we have no idea what other warriors' souls are inside of him. That and I just felt that he doesn't need to affiliate himself with Edenia when we have so many other characters affiliated with that realm. But that's just me ranting. I'd rather see Skarlet do something that has nothing to do with her being good, but could have a part of the story, even if it is minor. I really wouldn't be bothered at all if she comes back for this game.

I wouldn't care her useless now, she's just like what Ermac was in Deception, a being without a cause, and maybe she encounters Raiden and is turned to helping Earthrealm and Outworld fight off Netherrealm. Skarlet has a lot of potential hopefully NRS doesn't waste it.
