I like Kira and I could see her become a rival to Cassie, like Kano was to Sonya.

I'm sure some of them will be in there, just not sure who yet. Those two factions are a big part of MK lore and I doubt they'll be disregarded altogether. The less popular characters from the Black/Red Dragon will probably just make kameos in story mode like Ed Boon said.

Hopefully they're dead and gone. Not necessarily the characters but both organizations.

Kano is still alive and with Kabal gone Kobra and Kira probably never joined the black dragon clan. I believe we may see someone from the red dragon clan.

There seems to be a lot going already with the story already, so I wouldn't be expecting very much from either dragon clan, considering they have almost nothing to do with the main story.

Kano's still alive, Cassie Cage has dogtags. That may or may not mean anything, but this time around Kano might kill Sonya.

As stated, with Kabal gone we may never see Kira or Kobra. We know from Ed Mavado won't be selectable, and it's a guarantee we'll never see Hsu Hao as a playable character again; so if either of the Red Dragon are in the game, it'll be as cameos.

Who knows, they might build Cassie up by having her dismantle both clans.

You say either, but surely you remember that Daegon is actually the supreme leader of the Red Dragon.

I'd say his appearance, at least as a cameo, is almost a certainty given how he has ties to so much of MK's mythology.

Don't even put that thought out there in the universe.

Cassie is going to have to have a nemesis. If not, what's the point of her being in the game.

Kano has killed her parents and Cassie came for retribution? In the end, Cassie demises the one called Kano.

I'm positive that we will get Kano in the main roster.

Since the Red Dragon was made specifically to seek out Taven (which I think is stupid), it could be possible that the organization may have little relevance in this game, depending on where the story is headed.

Conversely, the importance of Taven could be easily retconed, and we could have a new age of the Red and Black Dragon clans. I wouldn't mind seeing it in MKX, especially if it means Mavado comes back.

I'd love those stories to be fleshed out sometime in the future. I agree with some users that mentioned Kira would make a great rival to Cassie if her moveset is updated a bit.

I'm not positive but in general I think if the character showed up in MKvsDCU then they have a better that average chance. That said Cassie could be fighting against a automatized Lin Kuei like Sonya was in MKA. She could be fighting anyone really, someone from another realm could threatening Earthrealm or anything really. We shouldn't limit her to the Red/Black dragon like Sonya was.

I wouldn't mind if Mavado came back but I can't even think of what he'd do. I'm sure there are infinite possibilities about how he could fight but I just don't think they should've ever dropped Kabal.

Kabal was retconned into a (very) good guy in this game, with his friendship with Stryker, not turning mad after what happened to him and fighting Kano instead of accepting his deal and even helping with the cyber Sub-Zero case bringing him to the base.

Even if he was brought back to life, I don't think he would get back to his black dragon days.

I liked Mavado, and I "don't mind" Hsu Hao, but if we have to sacrifice them so we never see Taven, Daegon and the Armagedon story ever again, I'm fine with that, so I wouldn't mind if the red dragon was retconned out of this timeline.

And Jarek, Kira and Kobra... no please. I can't stand them. I don't think even Kano has the charisma to stay in the game at this point (and I wouldn't like it if he managed to kill Sonya), so considering that, the poor's man version of Kano, the female poor's man version of Kano and... Kobra... well, I wouldn't mind it if we never see them again.

I was already thinking along the same lines, Kano will kill Sonya (because MKX is not likely to have two blonde bomb shells with similar moves) and Johnny Cage (as an old man) will be playable and hilarious as he'll still think he's all that lol

Cassie will get her revenge and finish Kano off! I'm pretty certain we'll see a new and futuristic Black Dragon clan, I also agree with everyone else saying that Cassie and Kira would make great rivals

Maybe they will rewrite Kira to be kanos daughter lol

I actually did not remember that. Point in fact I completely forgot; thanks for the refresher. I have this tendency to completely block anything out of Armageddon from my mind as it was so goddamn terrible. :(

Kinda hope they find a way to kill him off, personally. I found him and Taven so very forgettable. Have Cassie put one in his head and I wouldn't complain.
