I think that they give Sonya a more Mature dark look, she is still totally gourgeos. But For me Its the first time that Kitana actually has a face that suits her, thats an Achievement!!!

She doesn't look a day over 20, which is really weird because 25 years into the future in the cage family trailer, she still looks like she is in her 20s.

To be honest, she looks younger in the future than she does in the presente hahaha. Must be the cap.

Well Sonya I think at this point is about in her mid fifties, assuming she was late twenties to early thirties in MK9. Kitana has always looked like she is in her early to mid twenties. They both look good, but Kitana looks like thirty years younger than Sonya. While I'm happy about Sonya and Johnny's inclusion on the roster, I would have rather had Tanya and Baraka.

The only face in MK9 I thought looked bad was Kitana's alt but only because the proportions were all fucked up.

I don't find polygons attractive so strong jaws don't bother me.

Neither look generic or copy/pasted so everything's great. Character faces and proportions this time around are knocked outta the park.

This is the first time since MK4 that Sonya has a feminine face, so I'll go with her. Kitana doesn't look bad in this game, but her MK9 face had way better distinctive features. Maybe it's just that she looked like a exotic latina, which I liked.

She looks better this time around, but she still looks so masculine. This isn't a reflection of what outfit she should wear, or how she should behave, but literally her facial structure.

As the Princess of a realm whose name reflects the word Paradise, Kitana should by nature be the most beautiful woman in this game. I even hate typing that out, because I think obsessing over the appearance of any game character is cringey. There just isn't a better way to put it.

Yet somehow, Kitana and every other Edenian woman to this date looks like they should be on Ru Paul's drag race. They honestly just have so many masculine facial features.

Sonya looks better in my opinion. I am not even butthurt about the designs. The creative team has done a remarkable job this time around. They just need a little more practice with faces is all.

Kitana, hands-down. She looks really good.

For me it's hard to say. Neither looks impressive nor bad in those images to me. I need to see more of Sonya, though if I remember she looked good to me in the story mode stream.

In MK2011 there were shots were both Sonya and Kitana looked ugly as hell and there were also shots in the story mode where they looked good. It depended on the camera angle... Maybe that'll be the case again... :shrugs:

Mileena has some great looks in this game, I like that she has yellow Tarkatan pupils, but she has whiteness around it instead of having her eyes be fully Tarkatan like Baraka's eyes.

Hmmm SONYA in the op pics. She looks fierce. However KITANA looks waaaaay improved over her MK9 look and is quite beautiful.

OMG! OMG! I just had an amazing theory.

So do you guys know how we got the bio about Erron Black being Sonya's father? Well what if that's true and he got down with an Edenian female, so Sonya would be half Edenian! It would be explain why she still looks like she is in her 20s even though she is in her 50s.

I'll say both of these characters look much better than their MK9 depictions. Sonya looks a lot more feminine and Kitana has much better facial proportions.

I really feel like Sonya took a complete 180 in MKX. Sony in MK9 suffered the most from the man-face syndrome because she was one of the most prominent characters, as well as one of the few female characters who didn't wear a mask in her primary. Looking solely at her face you could really see how masculine it really is (maybe they gave her those exaggerated balloon breasts as an attempt to distract you from that). In MKX she appears completely butter faced. It's a lot more feminine and although I wouldn't have minded a bit of masculinity for her since it suits her character, I like it and think it's much better than her straight-up manly MK9 face.

Someone compared Kitana's MK9 face to Michael Jackson's botched plastic surgery. I kind of agree the nose was kind of off and her lips looked unnatural as well. Her features in MK9 appear much more natural, but she also seems to be more masculine looking. However I don't find it abnormally so, and the only reason it seems odd to me is because Edenia has always seemed like a realm full of femininity (even the one male character from the realm wears purple and is a bit effeminate). It's mainly because of her jaw and a bit because of her fierce expression.

I'd probably choose Sonya's face just because I think it's prettier. I like both of these characters equally. I think all the characters have improved as far as faces go and physique goes. And I'm glad to see it.

Oh, and on a side note, you guys shouldn't dis transgender people.

Keep in mind that in the middle picture, Kitana is in the middle of twirling her fans around and doing some fancy kicks.
