I know what you mean. I don't play on the harder difficulties for that exact reason, but it's not just MK, or fighters, that do this. In most games it seems the harder the difficulty, the cheaper the computer is and abuses the fact that it can do whatever it wants whenever. I prefer to just face my friend that I am equally matched in skill so it goes back and forth. I played a lot of online at first when MK vs DC came out...I went for that achievment where you have to defeat like 20 or 25 people in a row in ranked matches...I was one win away...ad my Subby got raped by a Wonder Woman who had a ton of wins and very few losses. It sucked. lol

MK has always, ALWAYS, had a problem with its artificial intelligence. I cant stand it knowing how to counter everything, when my moves are voided, or when a glitch in the programming causes my moves to completely miss or be thrown in the wrong direction of the opponent for no reason!!!

ive had a few ideas of my own for the AI:

Personality: each character's personality is incorporated into their fighting style and their intelligence (strategic fighting, defensive, aggressive, balanced, etc.)

Progressive: AI will learn from fighting against players to increase difficulty (kind of like training your AI in virtua fighter, but more so for the NPC opponents). This will make it more challenging for those who spam moves or use the same combination of attacks. On top of that, it will make the CPU less predictable so players cant figure out the AI's pattern and master the game in 5 weeks or less.

so whatchya'll think? grin

i agree the AI needs some work. the spamming does suck even if you know how to get around it or do it yourself. there should be AI controls/options like in the WWE games. at least than you could lower or raise the aggressiveness of the com and set spam rates and all that. blocking and countering options too. such toggling could benefit the AI system either for a challenge or to lower the challenge for not so skilled players.
