If you're expecting a 35-character initial roster, my sincere and well-intentioned advice to you would be to lower your expectations. With the variations system, we'll be lucky if we get 35 characters after all DLC is done and dusted.

Much as I'd like to see Baraka, Havik, Fujin, Li Mei and even Reiko make the base roster this all sounds like him speculating/wishing rather than a rumor.

The greatest travesty of MK9 was not having a playable Shao Kahn. I'd love him to be in this game as a regular roster fighter and not a boss. But, hilarious about the OP, being in a county where he's magically blocked from the Internet.

I might've believed this were it not for the Noob Blood God boss and Shao Kahn unlockable statue part.

I could see a challenge tower level where you have to projectile a slow moving Kahn statue to death before it reaches you or something like that, but I really don't see Shao Kahn or his statue being on the main roster (not sure which was intended).

The rest seems like one part fan wish list held up by another part of nearly confirmed characters and confirmed characters to make the first part seem more legit.

Like everyone else, I really want this to be true, but I'm not buying it if for no other reason that I just don't see NRS being able to keep so many of those characters under wraps. I thought it'd be better this time around without a demo to leak stuff, but it already feels like we know a ton. Whether they intended all of this stuff to get out or not is debateable.

Reiko is CLEARLY going to replace Shao Kahn from now on... that was a plotpoint created more than ten years ago and will come to fruition now

Imo, Reiko or Havik have the potential of being the main villain !
