Ed Boon, or someone on the MK team, said that MK7 will have the biggest roster ever. How do we know that thats true? How many times have they lied to us? Right now I'm not gonna believe anything or any news about MK7 until at least 3 month have past since they made the anouncment that it's comin' out.

That claim was made quite awhile, before MK7 had even reached the concept board. Much like any info about a game given out before it even reached development stage I'd say flip a coin on it.

And as you claimed Boon is notorious for getting ahead of himself when giving out info to the public. Assume anything he claims early on as things he'd like to do with the game. Release dates tend to nix it, and those in charge of MIdway aren't known to allow push-backs, even when the game's quality seriously depends on itconfused

I agree.

Ulnless they know that they will do a superb job with 40 charcters in MK:Armageddon, schedualed for the current generation, then they might as well release 25 to 30 characters...

However, I must say I prefer to go with more characters... Yes I 100 percent agree with Ed Boon...like mids think alike....

I hope they have a bigger selection from characters. I personally get bored of playing with the same characters. Its always nice to have a variety of characters to choose from.

A 30 plus character roster with movelists larger than those in Soul Calibur 3 and stryker/rain/sektor.....sure why not?

Well, MKT had over 30 characters in it (I'm talking about the PS1 version, btw, with or without counting the classic versions of Raiden, Kung Lao, Jax, and Kano) so MK7 might have at least 40 characters in it. Now, having a lot of characters is cool and all, but the fighting system needs to be the top priority. If it were another fighting game series like Tekken or Soul Calibur, they just need to do some tweaking here and there as well as maybe adding some things. With MK unfortunately, they need to do a lot to make it decent and if they really are going to have a very large roster as well as release an MK game every year with a fighting game one year and an action/adventure game the next, we're most likely bound to see lots of half-assed quality in those games.

Counting Blaze, Mokap, Meat, Chameleon, Khameleon, and all the bosses, there are 61 (if you count Classic Sub-Zero and Noob Saibot as one character) characters in the Mortal Kombat fighting series (this is not counting characters like Tremor, Jataaka, and other characters that only found themselves in the arcade games). Although, I think it would be awesome to all of them in MK7, I highly doubt that it will occur. My main hope is that they will refrain from recycling moves/weapons/fighting styles. The more seperate each character's moves are from the next the better. I would also like to see a decent plot line for each character.

Well, when it comes to fighting styles, I just hope that they'll fit the character. If they are going to have two or more characters who have the same fighting style, it should work differently for each of those characters like in the Tekken games (e.g. Hwoarang and Baek with their Tae Kwon Do style). I think having all of the characters in MK7 would be a big mistake and they'd need to more than separating the moves, fighting styles, etc. to make it good. The core aspects of the fighting engine need some big improvements.

I DONT believe it and I think it was just another lie.

It wont be like mkt, people will be dissapointed again.

They should focus on gameplay, not on adding 40+ characters in one game.
