I always thought fans looked into that ending more than the writers/team intended them to.

I don't think anything will ever come of that ending.

I find it odd that she's the only person in MKX who doesn't have a cameo as a revenant. Ed Boon did say that Jade wouldn't be in the game nor be a cameo. It's odd though as to why they chose not to include her in any way in MKX, besides a variation. Did they want to permanently erase her from MK?

Maybe she's the unexpected final boss or subboss and throwing people off by saying she's not in the game, but in reality, it's her with the lady in gold taking control of her.
