Kira did have a cameo in MK9 and plus Kittelsen does think she's cool. He's told me he and NRS had negotiations on who to kill. I think he may not let her die.


In the story stream, they mentioned that some intros may turn out to be canon, so I definitely think this intro will prove to be one of those.

Oh well so long Kobra, you won't be missed. Thanks Erron Black, you just became even cooler.

Good riddance. I think Kira is salvageable. I don't really think Kobra's worth the effort.

I don't like Kobra in the slightest, but for me personally, it was all about his design lol idk if they had given him a better look I probably wouldn't have minded him but he looked a lot like Ken (Who I don't really like) so I wasn't a fan.

I never got the hate for Kobra, at all.

I liked that he looked like a run-of-the mill good guy but was really a psychotic bloodthirsty monster. I thought that was cool. Him being attractive on top of that gave me American Psycho vibes.

Good. I hope he went slow and painful. One of the worst, blandest characters ever created in fighting games.

I liked Kobra because he reminded me of Ken Masters, one of my favorite Street Fighters. I though his training gear was neat too. Other than that, I won't lie and saw I'll really miss him.

Kira better not go. Nor should any of the 3D era females. I though all of them were cool.

With Kira it can go either way. Since she's so closely affiliated with Kobra as far as story goes, they could just lump her with him and kill her off without a second thought. But Kira was never truly hated. Only thing people didn't like about her was the fact that she had both of Kano's and Sonya's moves and hardly any of her own. Fix that and she could be in top shape.


I really hope Kira, Ashrah, and Nitara remain safe. I agree with all of the 3D females having potential.

Ed said in her bio kard it was his idea to give her Kano's and Sonya's moves. He does seem to think every game needs a "Kano character." The lack of original moves (besides that randomly shitty projectile) were definitely the only thing holding her back.

I am a big fan of Nitara (also my 2nd favorite female character) and Ashrah also. I also liked the rivalry that was blooming between the two. After Tanya, I'd say those two are the 3D females I like most.

And still no word on Skarlet. You'd think they do something with her in their story due to being a Blood Ninja presumably on Mileena's side.

Reiko had a cameo too and it's not looking good for him right now. He also mentions he likes writing Havik but that doesn't necessarily mean I have hope Havik is going to walk away from this story a-ok.

But I would love to hear what those negotiations sound like:

"PLEASE kill Hsu Hao, you can include whoever you want after that"
"Can I put Tasia in the comic?"
"As long as you kill Hsu Hao first."

But as for Kira? Bitch gotta go.

I'm holding out hope for her still.

I think Shawn teased her being involved in the story at some point on twitter.

Fair enough. I've never liked Kira or Kobra since they reeked of Sonya/Kano clone. But to each their own.

I'm personally holding out hope for Ashrah, Skarlet and..hey Sheeva's in the comic! that rocks!
