Adding a little replay value to the story-mode
I believe that when it comes to enforcers in the story mode, who you fight should be random, right down to the amount of opponents you fight (in short, endurance fights) unless the enforcer(s) has/have an important connection to whoever you're playing as. Even then, sometimes they should be teamed up with someone else. You might even find yourself fighting a Goro-type sub-boss, or two of them at the same time (if we get more than one sub-boss), or a sub-boss teamed up with a regular character.
This should only affect cutscenes and dialogue minimally. If we get any enforcer-types as DLC, they should be added as random opponents once bought.

About Me
You're not your job. You're not how much money you have in the bank. You're not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You're not your fucking khakis. You're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake. You are the same decaying organic matter as everything else.

I would love this idea. With the minor exception that the loses weren't just a once over and retry. I would rather have the defeat/fatality (if done ) have impact on the story and if the story was 100% complete would be undefeated or even defeated only in certain matches... Then again maybe i am thinking too much or too broadly

nah i think it should stay narrative driven, thats not where the replay should be ultimately. now turning the ladder matches into some kind of nemesis system like shadows of mordor where old enemies might come back all fucked and try again if you fail to perform a fatality. just add some intros to support it. thats a pretty good idea imo.

I'd like what you're suggesting, but I admit I was posting an idea that NRS was a little more likely (as in, capable) to implement. That's no criticism of your idea, because NRS implementing my idea would already be amazing in itself.

Oh of course, I was just saying what i wish would happen. I think it would make story mode more of a choose your path type of thing

This is a sick idea.

I've always wanted a Mortal Kombat story mode with multiple possible endings, it'd be real easy to pull it off too, just make it so at key fights in the story you choose to kill your opponent or let them live. Each choice would play a role in the outcome of the story. The replay value would go way up from this.
