Thought this might be an interesting idea for some random challenge mode if it were to come to life.

So, let's say, there's this mode where you have to fight everyone in the roster, with one life... And you're playing as a new character, never been seen before... And they have no special moves... from the start.

Every opponent you beat, you gain one of their special powers. And by the end of it, when you're fighting against the bosses, you've pretty much gained all of the powers of the characters. But remember, you got one life, no continues, and every fighter you're up against gets harder and harder to defeat.

What do you think?

Sounds like the story of Shujinko. But surely, it could prove interesting. It would probably make one throw controllers through the window, and playing with Kinect will only make you jump through the window by yourself. It's pretty hardcore with just one life, thus it could be an unlockable mode. Support for Leaderboards ought to be there.

Interesting idea. Although it sounds near impossible, I would definitely be willing to try.

It does seem and sound impossible. But that's a challenge!

That sounds pretty sweet, I always liked Endurance-type modes/matches, kinda reminds me of how difficult the MK Trilogy on N64's secret Endurance Choose Your Destiny, besides here you can't just cheat with Ermac's Telekinesis Slam over and over again, lol.

Sounds pretty cool actually. I would suggest that every five fighters or so restores at least a little health though. Because if not I don't think that would be a challenge I think it would be a murder.lol.

To be honest, I'd rather not have health come back after defeating a few enemies.

Ever played Zuma's Revenge? When you beat the entire game you unlock this challenge where there's a series of really hard levels you must beat. The catch is, you only have one life. If you lose, you have to start all the way back from the start.

It's pretty much like that. How far can you go up the ladder, defeating every character in sight. Because don't forget, you're getting a special move added to your character after each character has been defeated. By the time you reach the bosses, how many characters there are in this game that are playable, you have one move per each character that's in this game. So, let's say, there's 25 characters. That's 25 moves. Sure, it's a handful of moves, but can you really become the ultimate fighter by accomplishing this?

An ultimate challenge, yes? Yeah, it'll might make you throw your controller at the TV every now and then... then that's a good challenge.

Scar_Subby is referring to the Endurance Mode in Mortal Kombat: Unchained and Armageddon Wii where you got a handful of life back after five or so fighters. If one wouldn't get health back, everyone would just pick Shang Tsung or someone who can rejuvenate by himself. The Endurance Mode was too easy though but I'm not sure what others think about it.
